I am thinking that this is a Violet opaline, But the pale violet cheek patches leds me to believe that it could be cinny???Or about to post the pics.

I'll wait for the pics, But To break some of it down to you, Grey and Violet are an "ADDED" colour ( factor) not a "REAL" colour To get lacewings you need to have one lace wing and at least a / ( split) lacewing ... I am assuming that your lacewing is the blue series ( white with the brown marknings) other wise if it is the Yellow one it has to be /blue ... to get your cobalts ... The Grey markings you are seeing MAYBE the "Normal" part of the bird the black wing markings I hope this has made sense, If not I am sure that someone else would LOL Best to post your pics and we all will be able to help shed som Light on this for you .. Spot on TB .... Rats can eat and burrow through concrete where a mouse can not ...... This is proven with my next door neighbours due to them having a chicken farm. They have huge holes from rats eating the concrete .. I have alot of mice at present and I can not lay baits out incase the mice eat it and end up in the avairy pooing and the budgies then eating their poo ( FATAL ERROR) ... So i have traps out and a BIG BROOM TO PLAY HOCKEY WITH THEM of a night ..... The joys of living on property I can't believe that the rats got the good birds Kaz, Darn it mate .... However When all my chicks are born everything is noted and recorded so I know that this baby didn't have plum eyes all chicks in the nest had black eyes? so if it is not a cinny what else could it be ??????? okay guys i am stumped on this one .... So i need so help please Angel2 's eggs were infertile as were the lacewings eggs that I fostered to Angel2 aswell so after them not being fertile I had tossed them ...... ( 18 days Sooo not going to be fertile) But 3 days after i had tossed them she laid another egg? I have no problems with this at all as she is a first time at 17moths Old But it seems too quick to have realyed an egg? She sat in the nest box with out any eggs in there and I felt so sorry for her the poor little thing So do you think that she has just laid for the sake of laying??? or do you think that her and my Violet pied is back to the swing of things??? Heya, I went out this morning, ( before tj went to netball) to take pics, and the No3 baby was dead underneath the other babies..... Yes! I did the whole breath thing with it, to no avail it was warm but lifeless ( or shriveld and flat) But I didn't have hopes for this one yesterday... As when it hatched, it was alot paler then the others. This is a usual sign it of something wrong either illness or not ment to be ( however I think i remember reading here that a members paler one survived?) - But on the possamistic side of things ( hehe BB) there are 3 healthy looking babies in there. As well as in the other nest there are 5 healthy looking babies too with lots of colors ... I will have to recharge the camera as i got to take one picture then the batteries died .....

I only have outside birds ( but as I am babysitting ) the 2 usually sleep on the highest perch they can find either that or the side of the cage ....
