Deb, My MIL did the same but with a cage, the seller was happy to not continue with the transaction just tell them straight away that it was a mistake due to the wire being too large for your birds

Whilst on this topic, I have the termite dudes here and they are treating the place for the little white ants . and want to do mice as well, told them no probs, just don't use bait, they looked at me funny and I explained the whole thing to them , They kinda re thought it and now have to come with another solution, which would be hard, as the chicken farm behind me would be hording those yucky vermin .....
  12. Kaz I have that bookmarked LOL and i just re read it then I will keep my eyes on these too ....

  14. Hey all ... okay I have a drama occuring at the moment, I didn't mention it earlier as I though it might have been from the feeds i was giving the parents, However it hasn't changed ..... 2 out of the 5 babies have food stuck under their beaks, this has been happening for the last 2 weeks .... The parents this time around are really mesy feeders could this be why?? It has never happened before to any of my chick as i check them every day ..... So what is it from ... The parents are feed calcivet, seeds, fruit and veg, egg & Biccy mix and lots of soft food .... I held of on the soft food for a few days to see if this was the reason but nope it's still the same ...... Any help advice would be a great treat I am picking the stuck food out twice a day

  16. I was about to ask, how the wing was cut, birds like liv said find it funny after a clipping kinda like us when we get a hair cut too, if they arne't clipped finely they can have problems, the edges of the flightfeathers shouldn't stick out either ..... was their resistants whilst cutting the wing????

I agree. I used to have a lovely affectionate pet rat, Tempalton, who got killed one night by a feral rat who got into his cage  Feral rats have no place here!! I would not let your hubby free him either - it will just go an eat Koockaburra eggs or other wildlife instead  Pet rats and mice are different - they are pets, wild vermin are different whether there are Raight right people out there that dissagree, that is fine that is your free will, However I am sure you haven't seen first hand what they do to people, I friend of mine little one almost had it's finger amputated (sp) because a rat decided I child was a good meal at night, this child got very sick ...... They spread dieases (sp again) they don't affect our wildlife however ( in rural & semi rural areas ) thoses people that use rat sack and other poision eatable baits ( that take a while to affect the vermin ) A baited mouse . rat running in fields, paddock get picked up by our bird wild life Owls, and etc, who then feed this to their young, and then there is a whole nest wiped out because that mouse / rat was baited I love animals espcially wildlife Cocky's loris, Falcons Hawlks eagles etc they are beautiful, for me to lay a bait affects that mouse and rat in a long painfull death and then may kill off a whole nest of bird ( i would hate for that to happen to our almost extinct breeds) THis is my views, I'd rather kill that vermin with a trap ..... ( this is for my house only if they are out side, they aren't bothering me so they can run free and be merry ..... But if they are in here, they betta WATCH OUT !!!!
  23. Ahhh Mate .... It's a Full moon soon, so things should pick up for you ...
