Hello everybody... Going to do some late night shopping and on my list is things 4 Spike!! Food : will get some dark greens/corn/millet/carrot and can anyone think of anything else? A nice dish that will hang on the side of the cage to put his vegies in.. While writing this Spike has found that he can lift 1 of the doors for his seed dish and is now flying around lounge room (stupid vet) did his wings yesterday afternoon after a lecture about if you don't want him to fly you should of got a mouse or something else and why do you want this to be done No Impressed as there is 2 ceiling fans in the lounge and dining room and just a couple of weeks ago they were on 24/7 :hap: This Vet is the same place as I last took the late Huey to but this was a different person, last time with Huey I asked for a Avain Vet...

Really? wow you have come along way... I wonder when it will be safe to drink the water I'm a South Australian thats been living in Victoria for to long... obviously.... Safe to drink the water Hmm don't know about that I'd stick to the mains water filters, I my Puratap...

Hey guys I have a new baby budgie that I picked up this afternoon.. Spike :ygbudgie: has come from Sunnie and the parents are Pearl+Tweety!! Spike so far today has been taken from his cage and put in a travel cage and then had a 1h.15mins car ride from one side of town to the other, then in the Vets for his wing clipping, then home and another cage transfer (no wonder he's quite at the moment).. He's snoozing now and has a few chews on some gum leafs but have not seen him eat any seed yet or have a drink!! Pics to follow :D Thanks Mark...

Ask the manufacturer they have a 1800 number (free call) most times or a web address, just have a look on the can....

Hi just wanted to bring up this P.S IS THAT LETTUCE OR CABAGE IN THEIR CAGE?? I gather lettuce is no good? Lettuce has no nutrional value at all. It's made up mainly of water and often give birds(and other animals) the runs. Better greens include boc choy and silverbeet Thanks maesie and I will get another :budgiedance:

:angel1: Well Where do I start, I already have been here farting about for a half an hour thinking what to say and it's worse writing it maybe it's more final!! I got a call at 7pm on thursday from the Vet with 2 choices, some treatments over several days will give him a bit longer OR put him down as Huey has/had a Tumor and is full of blood stealing what he needs and making breathing difficult!! I have long hair+beard+earrings look like a biker and am sitting here with tissues and can't write anymore! Thanks everybody I will come back in a few days. Mark :hap:

Hello again update time!! News is not good the vet said he's having trouble breathing and he's probably on his last legs, he said 1st we'll have to get him stabilized with Oxygen and then some glucose as he thinks if he grabs him like he is then that would finish him off!!

Thank you Elly the reason why I mentioned heat was we've just had record high temps here for 15days straight and 11 of those were 39C/102F+ Also if you can read my other post (is my budgie old/sick) I have pics+video too! Just a thought but does budgie seed go off in the heat? It's keep in the kitchen in a airtight container.. He has filtered water too! He has the runs and he hasn't had any new foods...

...and dose he ever come out of his cage??? how is he at flying etc??? Thanks 4 the reply Liv No doesn't come out of his cage any more as he flys flat out in to walls, windows, furniture and when he almost knocked out then he waddles about the floor. You can leave the door open and he won't come out...
