		3rd And Final Pair

You are right, they are not cinnamon. I did mean general body colour. Dad is a yellowface type II and mum is a cinnamon blue. i think they are all going to be standard blues. Funny as I thought they were all meant to have yellow faces.

I had not even thought about gender yet - still too excited about colours - (Laughing out loud).

		3rd And Final Pair

It is hard to get photos of these guys as they are in the top cage and I need to climb up a ladder to look in. All is going well, but Milly refuses to leave, let alone let me grab a bub out - (Laughing out loud). Here are some new shots. As you can see, i think that they are all going to look like their mother.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. Feathers - I think the little guy is getting a complex about his little pink bum sticking out, as he was doing his best to hide it today - (Laughing out loud). Norm - there is a concave in the nest box and there is plenty of bedding material. Here are some new photos form today.

1st Pair - Angel And Ozzy

I thought she had red eyes. In fact, i am almost sure, but i will check again. Thanks for helping alleviate my fears in regard to splayed legs. Can being an Ino mask cinnamon? I mean, is it possible for her to carry that gene? I am not sure how the whole genes things works, let alone INO genes. Just went and had another look. Angel definitely has red eyes, so that makes her an Albino. No doubt there at all. Look at these pics Here is one of her bubs taken today.

Splayed Legs Versus Heavy Weights On Little Legs

There is no lack of calcium. They have a cuttlebone in each cage, and all 3 mum's in each box regularly chew down on that. There is also Calcivet in the water, so that is good. there were no obvious signs of inflammation in the joints, so that is a good sign. I am going to have a more in depth look tomorrow, but at this stage, I am willing to go out on a limb and say it is justme being paranoid - first time breeder and all that. Elly, I have read the post on fixing splayed legs many times, and I have even thought about where i would buy the foam from - (Laughing out loud).

2nd Pair - Romeo And Sebby

More pics taken. i took them out but i was a bit nervous about their reaction, and their mothers, that in my wisdom, I forgot to take photos of them out - (Laughing out loud). I was concerned about splayed legs, but my biggest concern was for the eldest one. The first picture in this group kind of put my mind at ease a little, but still not sure how I tell or if it is just due to their weight versus the strength they currently have in their legs. Anyway, the pics - all look like they will be blue birds like Dad. Of course the little one is too young to tell yet, but anyway.... Pictures 2 and 4 clearly show the one that may possibly be an opaline, as suggested by Nerwen. We will see.

1st Pair - Angel And Ozzy

Some new pics were taken today. I am not sure about the Ino theory. Are Lutino's possible? Or are the yellow feathers more likely to indicate that they are spangles like their Dad? How do I know if the legs are splayed or that little one is just sitting poorly? What do you all think on colours now?

Splayed Legs Versus Heavy Weights On Little Legs

I have read previous posts on splayed legs and it is something that i am trying to be conscious of. I have shavings in the nest and am doing all I can so this done not happen. Tonight I took the little ones out of the nest for the first time, freaking their mother out a bit I think, and looked at them. I was concerned about splayed legs, and then I thought I was wrong. I mean, there is no way that those little legs are strong enough to support that body, so maybe I was worrying for no reason. But what if I was not? How do you tell if a chick has splayed legs or if it just the case of them being so young they are not old enough for their underdeveloped legs and muscles to hold up their bodies with that full crop?

		3rd And Final Pair

as you can see, they are all growing up. Since Dad is a Yellow face type II and mum is not, shoudla ll the youngesters have yellow faces? I am bad with genetics. Too early to tell yet though, right?

2nd Pair - Romeo And Sebby

5 in the nest box now, and they all look like they will look like their Daddy. Does this mean that they will have the fallow gene? Here's some pics - see Feathers, another cute little bum!!! Thoughts?

1st Pair - Angel And Ozzy

Took some new pics. Sorry it took so long - the last 2 weeks have been ***, with so many teaching commitments, a tournament for a football team on (we won it by the way) and just general life. Anyway, as you can see, feathers are emerging on our little ones. It is not too early to guess at what we think we have here. I think that the eldest of the 3 is going to be a standard green, the next eldest will be a spangle like dad, and the 3rd will also be a spangle. Any other guesses?

2nd Pair - Romeo And Sebby

okay, pics as promised. 4 little ones now. In the first picture you see 3, and it is hard to see the 4th, no, not hard, impossible. In the 2nd picture it is a bit easier to see the 4th little one, well its butt sticking out, still hidden under bigger sibling's head, but there nonetheless. The flash does not help, but i need it on otherwise it was too dark with my shadow. more pics as they come.

1st Pair - Angel And Ozzy

Some new pics of the little ones. 3 is all it is going to be in here I think, and that is good for her 1st clutch. Notice that the eldest is a lot darker than the next oldest, and all eyes look dark to me.

		3rd And Final Pair

New photo added today. Mum and Dad wanted to stay and pose so I simply added them. 3 out of 4 eggs is not bad. I do not think the last one will hatch. You can see it under Zeus in this photo. More photos as the young ones grow

1st Pair - Angel And Ozzy

maybe, i will check the nest box again and try to have a good look. Sometimes it is hard to tell with pics. Look at Angel. by that picture, she looks more like a DFC than an albino

		3rd And Final Pair

I have to shoo Milly out of the nest box to clean and check the young ones. She doesn't liek to leave for any reasons. She is protective, but at least clamer than Angel - 3 of the 4 eggs hatched, and I have my doubts about the 4th egg. Zeus is already looking to have some more "enjoyabe times" and Milly also seems interested. Anyway, here is a picture, more to come as they grow up.

2nd Pair - Romeo And Sebby

Took this photo the other day and I had trouble uploading it due to my connection busy getting LOST episodes, but that is another issue. This is Sebby and Romeo's box, there were 2 little one's in there. there are now 3 as a new young one hatched yesterday, but until new pics are taken, this one has to do. I added more nesting material today as well
