Stress?
I was chatting to Nerwen the other night, but now she's gone away for a few days grrr. I'll see her next weekend probably anyways, should be all good.

Stress?
I was thinking: keel bone? huh?, but then you clarified (Laughing out loud). Umm, I'm pretty sure that's all good, haven't noticed or felt anything abnormal. As for weighing him, I have no idea how to do that, he'd probably up and fly away. But peoples, I think I have good news. I've been sitting here and watching him out the corner of my eye for the last few hrs or so and I think he's getting better, so I think it was just stress. He's back to squeaking, still not so much when he's out of the cage, but he has attempted squeaking at me, which is progress. He still plays and rings he's bell and he's getting back to his normal noisy self. Thanks guys for your replies, and I will keep them in mind for the next time I think he has a problem, which I hope never happens, but you never know

Stress?
Oh ya, I remembered just the other day that he had been sick just before I got him off you. I think he may have been panting one time in his cage, but that was the day he got moved. I have actually been concerned about his getting sick again and have been trying to pay attention to how much he sneezes. He has been a little quiet, but I don't think its unusual as mum said during the day he's been playing, but ya I'm gonna have to watch him a little more closely I think.

Stress?
His poops are normal, unfortuneately I haven't been home much to notice if his eating habits have changed. His cage is across from the computer (not where I wanted to put him but we kinda got no where else at the moment), but he's never had a problem with the computer, he was running across the keyboard before (Laughing out loud).

Stress?
okay, the other day I recently had to move little Scuttle out of my room which has been his home for about 3 quarters of a year. Ever since I did that he hasn't been happy. Now I figure that's just because he's been moved into a new room. But whenever I get him out of the cage just for some air and a bit of a flap, he breathes heavy. I'm not taking him anywhere he hasn't been before and I'm not doing anything different. So I was just wondering if it is stress from the move. (mind you it was a small move). Could it be the room? I was nick-naming him R2D2 because of the little squeaking noises he makes whenever he sits on my shoulder, but since the move he hasn't been doing that either. I'm a little worried and was wondering if anyone had any ideas or suggestions.

Scuttle
No fair, Nerwen gets better pics than I do. Scuttle always wants to chew the lens when I try to take pics (Laughing out loud). That is why I'm going to be stealing a few of them pics

'taking' Out Vs. 'letting' Out
I have only had Scuttle for nearly 6 months (he's only about nine or so months old) and I've already adopted both ways of getting him out of the cage. I generally let him out most days, and 70% of the time I get him out myself. Other times I just open the door, stand back and wait for him to come out. The other day I thought he wanted out so I opened the door and he ran away from my finger, so I thought 'fine' and left the door open and went back to what I was doing. Several minutes later I heard flapping and next thing I knew he was on my shoulder. So both works for him. He also goes back in quite easily, either by himself or with a little psychology from me (eg I make him think he wants to get back in (Laughing out loud)) Whether thats really the case I'm not sure, but he comes and goes as he pleases and sometimes I take him out myself.

Christmas Tree?
I have no idea, but I think it would be a good idea to keep them away from the tree all the same. Thankfully I don't have to worry about that with Scuttle yet. He has only just started venturing away from his comfort zone that is my bedroom. It will be ages before I'm able to get him to venture into the lounge room. Oh plus I have to keep teaching the cat that he isn't free game just because he's not in my room (Laughing out loud).

Update
Thanks for all your comments. I am most pleased. And I was hoping he would remember having the rope perch when he was at your house Nerwen. I think he does, either that or he just likes it (Laughing out loud). The ladder is still in there. I put it up every now and then, though now I'm not too sure as to whether its for his amusement knocking it down, or mine at watching him get annoyed and having to knock it down (Laughing out loud). Either way its fun. I was thinking I should put in a picture of him on the perch. Took me ages to actually get one though because everytime I came at him with the camera he would jump off and leap onto the side of the cage so I couldn't take one. I had to sneak up on him in the end and managed to get 2 good ones. I couldn't open the door either as he likes to chew on the lens (Laughing out loud).

Update
Woo, 'tis now Wednesday evening and I have just put the new rope perch thing into Scuttles cage. I was so pleased when I found it at the flea market. And I was even more pleased when I put it in the cage before because he pretty much hopped straight on it and now I think it has become his 2nd fave sitting spot :feedbirds:

Update
Well yes he is still a little terror (Laughing out loud) That's every other day, hence that message I sent ya the other day about taking after his Grandma Freckle :dbb1: But I'm really pleased that he can be good when he wants to, and when he gets treats (Laughing out loud)

Update
Well, it has been a while since I posted anything on this board. Umm. I must say Scuttle is doing really well. Found out the other day that he does actually like me (Laughing out loud). Not that I didn't already know that but I got proof is all. I wanted to try an experiment the other day. I opened the cage door and put my hand a few centimeters away from the door. After a little bit of squaking and verbal coaxing (on my part) he hopped out and jumped on my hand. When he flew back into the cage of his own accord, I thought I would try standing a little farther away from the cage. To cut a long story short, in the end I was able to stand on the other side of my room, stick out my arm and have him fly from the cage and land on it with hardly any coaxing at all. I was so proud and happy. Didn't even take that long either. The next day, I tried again, to see if he would still do it. I opened the cage and stood all the way on the other side of the room straight up, and within seconds he was perched on my arm. Yay. Just thought I'd share that

Breeding Time
Woo lots of babies. Like the names too And I'm glad Ringo is turning out to be a good mum. Pity about Kree, I'm sure, one day, you'll find a budgie she likes (Laughing out loud). You shoud nick name her little miss fussy (Laughing out loud) Scuttle rarely gets called by his name, oh By The Way completely off topic: he;s taken to landing on my head and chewing my hair and climbing up my shoulder. I'm trying to get him to work on his flying distances :offtopic:

Tingle, that's cute too. Pity the camera died though. Just had a thought: Tootie - Fruitie - Tingle = Fruit Tingle Anywho (Laughing out loud) bit of an in joke with the fruit tingles :-)

The Nibbler...
Woo, may have to try that advice with little Scuttle. He decided to be a little biter, Nerwen told me about blowing in face and dropping me finger so he gets off balance but sometimes that doesn't work and i have to shake him off. Plus he's developed a kind of angry 'click' that he likes to do when its bed time, or just coz he doesn't like me anymore I dunno, that started a few days ago so i'm still working on that one. But he still jumps on my hand comes out the cage so I dunno

Breeding Time
Right that saves my asking (Laughing out loud). I was gonna ask if you reckon you might get another one with the same colorings as Scuttle coz you said you wanted one after seeing him I was surprised at his colors after he finished molting, he's just adorable and very pretty. So it would be cool if you got another one. By The Way, I was pleased that he hopped onto your finger, must mean I'm doing something right if I have a friendly bird, even if he does like to bite me. Anywho, can't wait to see what you end up with

Woo, Finally Some Piccies
I finally am putting up some pics of cheeky little Scuttle (partly coz Nerwen made me :-) ) Yes I will admit I have been slack, but not anymore. Here be some pics: Woo there you go, hope you like 'em. Sorry a few are a little dark, or blurry, but he doesn't like to sit still when I try to take photos, he likes to eat my camera (Laughing out loud).

How Do!
Howdy Cheetah, nice to see ya again.... or rather chat (Laughing out loud) I think he's settling in okay, went batty with his ball this morning. He likes to bite now too, so I'll have to read up on how to get him to stop doing that grrr.
