Well Denise....I can understand your dissapointment.....there are breeders and there are breeders.... I have had the same experience in the past.....the trick is to find a good one and to to them....

Hmm....yesterday i was checking the cabinets out....and all was well..... However....the afternoon was a different story.... In one nest box the oldest of 4 chicks (3 weeks) was dead.....I did not have any problems on there first clutch... The next cabinet which 8 eggs.....every single one was kick out of the nest box...then cracked open in half.... all but one egg was fertile....their last clutch was fine...all hatched and all survived..... This sought of situation i find very frustrating and sad... On top of some earlier dramas i didn't need this....Oh well on we go..... Things must start heading upwards from here...I hope.....

Hi peoples....this baby has a bald spot on its head.....I noticed this about a week before I took it from the parents.... So he's had for about 2 weeks now..... Any advice would be appreciated....

So here they are..... this Free and the dad Firstly latest chicks from Free's clutch (kaz's hen) The hen (Kaz's) of the next lot due to fledge soon And the chicks....2 violet normals....1 pied violet.....1 spangle blue At first the mum wasn't happy about the intrusion.... And this grey baby....yellow face....she/he hasn't gone through the 1st moult yet .....very young still....but the yellow face is so bright....the camera really doesn't pick it up properly....

howz that danish pied boy.....Kaz what a beauty what a hansome boy.....

Sorry to hear that news Norm......I recently Had a lovely hen that was sitting in 8 eggs ....one morning she was dead on the bottom of the breeding cabinet... Who knows what happens....very disappointing thought

Thanks guys...yes I am lucky...Kaz always has good birds.... always very healthy...I have never had one of Kaz's birds fail on me.....the hens especially....they lay six eggs you get six chicks....and always good mothers....

Hi peoples....I went for a visit at Kaz's house last weekend and came away with some nice birds (thanks again Kaz)... So here are some photos with a brief discription.... Love to have your comments..... First of is this pair of greens... I guess they would be opaline spangles Secondly this spangle pied.. Then this yellow/green hen not sure on its discription Lastly...this lovely Fallow male...has its faint markins and red eyes... however he has i unique green patch on his rump....I wonder if a pied could be involved here as well..
