Well mum & I took a drive to Nat's (owner Smileys Parrot Forum) yesterday. Met her dogs & some gorgeous Too's & corella's - especially the one who nicked mum's earring :(Laughing out loud): we got the earring back but lost the backing hehe. Nat gave mum a gorgeous peachface that mum named Sam & Nat gave me a pretty little budgie that I named Turbo as she is always on the move a thousand miles an hour! and never stops begging for food. Got some great pics for you to enjoy - the 2 of them are fast friends already. They just had a feed so are wearing a bit of food. Turbo: Sam in "his" favourite spot - mum's cleavage: Standoff? nah! they love each other: Naughty children! told you it was time for a nap!

My beautiful girl passed away Monday. She was 9-10 months old, she lived far longer than any of us expected. She was pretty bad with physical deformities - and I think mental too - but with alot of physiotherapy she'd improved enough to be able to fly around the aviary and interact with the other birds which she loved doing. RIP Angel

Same here - no limit on birds but they've just introduced a 1 aviary limit on us! I've got 4 of various sizes - I hope it means for being new into the fancy.

Very sad to read of your troubles. I completely understand what you are going through. I lost alot of birds in 03/04 to Megabacteriosis and in January this year I lost a bunch more to Psittacosis. My fingers are crossed for you that things continue to look up.

He looks like he's a good weight. A pet budgie should be anywhere from 30-45 grams. My pet budgie Boris is usually around 42grams but she eats extra when she wants to breed & gets to about 46grams. Show budgies are usually upwards of 45grams. I really don't think he needs to put more weight on - he might become overweight and inpede his ability to fly.
