In the secound picture the cere looks like it has a little bit of white around the nostril, and not in the first picture.

I have had Tequila for almost a month and l noticed that even though l spend a ton of time with her, she still seems to be lonely. After having 2 budgies, it feels weird having only 1 budgie. Now, when l was looking for a budgie before l had found Tequila. I placed an add in my local paper, looking for tamed budgies. No one replied so l got Tequila at a family run pet store. A week later l got a reply to my add from a local budgie breeder. She told me she has tame baby budgie's for sale and to get back to her if l would like to see some pictures and for more information. l wrote back to her saying that it is okay, l found a budgie but thanks for replying. Well l thought that it was probably to late to get one of her tamed baby budgies but l thought that l would email her today and asked if she still has one. If not that would be fine because l'm still debating about the idea of getting another budgie. She replied back to me, she told me that she still has one left. She told me she will hold on to the budgie until l decide if l would like it or not. So l replied back telling her that l'm interested but l will think about it but l would definitely write back to her either on Saturday or Sunday to tell her if l will take her tamed baby budgie. She replied back and said that is fine, So l might be getting one more budgie

Hmmm...In the first picture it looks like a male but in the second looks female and the behaviour is like a female. l'm not 100% sure but based on the behaviour l would say female.

Awww he is cute, l like the name Elly suggested Ollie. l can't think of any names at the moment

l have some good news!! First of all, yesterday was the first time she touched her millet seeds and today l gave her a little more millet and she devoured it. So now l can use the millet seeds as a reward Secound good news is Tequila is getting use to my hand. So l took her to the bathroom to let her fly around. She perched in my hand for awhile before exploring. She also sat on my finger to put her back into her small cage. Then l took her back to her cage. I took a picture while she was perching on my hand, my hand looks funny because l had my hand cupped. Here she is exploring Hang out l forgot to mention one other good news, since she is getting use to my hand, she doesn't try to bite me!! I'm so happy about that. l figured since she is a female she would bite my but boy was l wrong about that. I noticed also today that she is starting to molt. l can start to see pins, which you can see some in the pictures. Taming Tequila is so far going smoothly

l never thought of cutting away the perch section. l'm going to try that.

Tonight l went to the kitchen for 5 minutes and all of a sudden, l heard Tequila freaking out. I dropped what l was doing and ran to my room. I found poor Tequila hanging by her neck, from her seed cup!! I quickly got her free. The seed cup is this one she got her head stuck in between the little perch and the cage. I will be replacing these cups with ones that do not have the small perch.

oh my, l love those pictures. So full of colourful birds They remind me of my cat, it doesn't matter if she was just fed, she still begs for food

I have had Tequila for 5 days now and l'm beginning to tame her. So far l have been spending alot of time with her. I have been softly speaking to her and whistling to her. At first she would sit really far away in a corner of her cage but she has been slowly coming nearer to me. When l put my hand in to change her water and food, she sits on her perch and watches me but she does not run away and she is not skittish. Right now l would like to try and get her used to my hand. At the moment l'm not sure what to use as a treat. Since she has not touch her millet seeds For the mean time l will just put my hand in slowly and hold my hand still for a few minutes and talk to her continuously, ever time l go by her cage. While l'm taming her, l will try to include some photos of my progress with her Here is a picture of my pretty girl (sorry about the bars being in the way)

He is such a sweetie. lol, l just got a budgie and was going to name her Twitter also, but l named her Tequila instead.
