okay l'm not an expert at this yet but l'll take a stab at this , l think that your budgie is a female , because the cere looks like there is a white ring around the nostrils (in the first picture). also in the second picture it looks like the cere is changing into a tan like color , can't really tell for sure thou might just be my monitor .

l hope Jimmi is okay , phew what a fright . l know how you feel , l accidentally didn't close my bedroom door properly while l had my budgies flying in my room today when all of a sudden my cat Sweetpea came running in , l 'm glad that my budgies Claire , Hobbes were both safety perched in their cage , l swiftly kicked Sweetpea out of the room .
