    Awesome! Looks very nice!
  10. Unfortunately no, my digital camera was stolen so I need to take pics with a disposable until I can afford a new one Which as it turns out will be later today *jumps up and down*
  11. I got really lucky, he's a really sweet little bird. I think he might have been a handfed and got mixed up with the untamed budgies.
  12. My new birdie Fez is a little bit confusing! He is solid white (including wings) except for 2 small spots (about 1/3 cm in diameter) on the lower half of his chest as well as 3 on his back. He's also got pink feet and a bright orange beak. So... what in the world is he?? I think recessive pied, you all are better at this than I am.
  13. I got Buster a budgie friend today!!! He/she is completely white w/ the exception of a little sky blue on its butt and a few small spots on the chest. Nobody's entirely sure of gender yet, the cere is a very pale pink. I'm gonna HAVE to take pictures this week, I swear I will! OMG though, when I was talking about quarantine to their bird sales person she said that it doesn't matter and I could keep their cages together?!?!??!?! Yeah right. Kirby, you're going to have to help think of some names - we were thinking Fez or Bunny (depends on gender).

Just regular peek a boo like you'd play with a baby. http://www.landofvos.com/wwwboard/messages/425.html that explains the towel game. What I do is put Buster/Amira on the floor and cover my head with a bath towel and peek out at him, then say "BOO" or something like that and they really seem to like it. Usually they crawl in to see what I'm doing.
  16. When I was at petsmart last the birds were bloody, packed together, the cage was disgusting, and most were quite old (not a bad thing depending on what you're looking for).

(Laughing out loud) I had a nap, then it made sense. I love the way that works... I think he's been scared off of here, do you?

My budgie was like that for 4 months or so, just hang in there. Have you tried playing games like peek a boo or the towel game with her? I know they seem silly but they really do work.

Second one what Kirby? Why would you jeopardize the health of your pets? Quarantine is super important. (Laughing out loud) I'm just a little slow today.

I thought you just said you weren't going to breed them. http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index....=0entry125238
  23. I found this on a website somewhere a little while ago. Noise Level: Cockatoos are LOUD. In fact, they are arguably the loudest of the parrots. Cockatoos WILL scream - don't think you can train them out of it. Cockatoos love screaming and will scream for the sheer joy of screaming, usually in periods once or twice a day (usually morning and evening). The smaller cockatoos are quieter simply due to reduced size, but even a Goffin's is loud. And a Mollucan?!?! Watch out! I also read somewhere else that a mollucan cockatoo holds the record for the loudest bird in the world. Its decibels were compared to a small aeroplane taking off!!! No wonder your neighbour has had complaints when they've got a cockatoo in an apartment block. I've got two budgies as well, and while they do 'ack ack' at each other, they are nothing like as loud as that. They live in my bedroom, as that's where I spend most of my time. My sister's room is directly above mine and she doesn't hear them very much at all. Hm sounds good That cockatoo is soooo loud that I can hear it from 3 doors down, but I can't complain because I'm sure my birds have their moments too. I think 90% of his/her day is spent making a noise that sounds like a referee whistle. I suppose I could just move them from the living room to a bedroom if the noise becomes an issue. I feel like Buster would benefit from having a friend. I even got the boyfriend okay
  24. Lovey is it a kind of noise that would be bothersome to neighbors? That's my biggest concern, we have another neighbor with a cockatoo that keeps getting them in trouble. I guess I'll just haunt the petstore until I make up my mind/find a budgie that I can't leave there.
  25. I think that Buster is looking a little lonely lately. I've been putting some pretty serious thought into getting a second budgie so he can have a friend. I was hoping that he and Amira would get on better (he loves everything, even my parent's 120 pound dog) but she was never socialized with other birds. I'm concerned about a few things: 1. Noise - I live in an apartment complex, so for those of you who have 2 budgies together; do they make more noise than a single budgie? 2. Buster is incredibly people friendly, will he be less so?
