I am working with her too, putting my hand in the cage and letting her check it out and get used to it. She is a little more timid than the other budgies I have gotten recetly, but she will now sit on your finger for about 2 seconds. Progress is progress so I am happy!! How old do you think she is?? I bought her from a local pet store so they had no idea. I know she is young because of all the bars on her head, but how young, I don't know. Thanks~

I got this picture this morning. Yawn!! If you look in the mirror you can see a little of her face. She's not yawning in this one but she is still cute!! Hope you like it!!

I finally found some poofy pics of my flock, hope you enjoy them. Mr. Houdini himself!! He is really a poofy bird!! This was him after his first bath, needless to say he didn't like that too much!! Not the best picture in the world but hey he is a little poofy! She looks so chubby ion this picture!! Its Jake, and he looks like a hunching vulture or something!?! Typing makes Elwood poofy. This is about as poofy as Ceaser gets!! Hope you liked them!!

Just to let everyone know yesterday I had the rest of the flock checked over to make sure that they were all okay and I am happy to say that everyone came home with a clean bill of health!! She has settled down a bit and I was able to get some more pics of her this morning. Soo cute!! I love this picture What is up there?!? Hope you enjoy them!!

I know that I only lost Petrie this morning but my heart was telling me to go out and get a new little baby to join the flock after quarentine. I needed to do this for myself, as well as, for the other members of my family and my remaining flock. She is the smallest little budgie that I have seen in a long time. Here she is: So cute!! I'm pretty sure I got a female this time!! She has pretty interesting wings. I love that stripe. I will get more tomarrow but I want to let her settle in and get comfy. Any name suggestions for her?? Thanks~ Melissa

My mom managed to get some close ups of him/her and the cere. I am really not sure. Hope this helps: I'm ready for my close up!! I know that there is poop on the wing but we got him/her all cleaned up! Thanks!!

They did take her to the back but when we got her back to the place she was almost gone, she was just laying there not even attempting to move!! They were going to help her but it was too late, and she didn't make it through the night. Atleast I know that I tried and that she was loved for about three hours plus right now. She will always be with me!!

okay, after yesterdays tragedy, my mom and I went out and found a beautiful baby budgie. She (I think she) has no name yet so any suggestions would help. She is still shy so I only managed to get 2 pics of her tonight but I will get more tomarrow morning. I believe she is an opaline. Her she is: Beautiful!!! There she is!! Hope you like the pics. Lin thats exactly what I told my mom, atleast I know she had some love!!! Thanks everyone and I will definately let you know what happened. Also, I will let you know when the next one gets here, maybe it'll be thursday, but we'll see.

She seemed to be a heathly budgie. She was eating, I just had to put it on my bed because she had to lay down to eat. She couldn't do anything, she would try to perch but would just fall off, or she would catch herself with her beak and push herself back onto the perch. Tonight when we went back I looked at the other budgies and they all seemed healthy and happy. They had a reletively clean cage and fresh food and water. I was not ready to taake another home tonight, plus I am not taking any chances and I am going to scrub the cage she was in tomarrow and get it ready for the new edition whenever they get here.

Well, thanks for the congrats but, I only had her for three hours!!! I got her home and noticed that her foot was a bit sore and that she had a limp.(You can see it in the picture, she is leaning so she wasn't stand ing on it!!) I took her out of her cage and put her on my finger and that foot had no grip and it was cool to the touch. I put some seed on my bed and she had to crawl to it with her belly on the ground and pulling herself around with her beak and other foot. I called the place that I got her from and they told me to bring her in and they would have a look at her. On the car ride there she got alot worse and she just laid in the box. When I got there they told me that they had rehabilitation tanks in the back and that she looked really bad. They told me that I could get another one but I told them that I would wait so they wrote me slip saying that when I came back in that I could get a new one. I hope that she is doing alright, she is in my prayers, but the way she looked tonight as I gave her to them, I am not sure. As I was leaving the guy told me that they were getting more budgies in on Thursday so I might just go and look and watch for half hour or and hour and make sure that they are all doing great. Thanks again. By the way, I had to name her and we named her Sweety, because she was such a Sweetie.

Now we have a even number of birds, 3 females and 3 males!! Went to get my newest edition today after class. She is beautiful, I think a greywing green but I am not too sure. Any way here she is: Not used to the camera yet!! Love those wings!! Another View of her markings... She knows she is a DIVA!! Hope you like her, I know I am already in love!! Her cere looks blue but in person it has a distinctive white around the nostrils. The picture shows alot more blue that is really there, I'll try to get better ones tomarrow. Once again, I need some suggestions for names please. Thanks!!

I currently have 6 tattoos and 10 piercings!! Tattoos: a sun on the top of my left foot, a moon on the top of my right foot, a sun/face thing on the back of my right calf, an old school sparrow on the side of my left calf, a dragon scene on the side of my right thigh, and a butterfly at the base of my neck. Piercings: 4 14g standard lobe piercings ( 2 in each ear), a 14g industrial in my left ear ( two piercings in my upper cartilage connected by one barbell.), a 10g conch in my right ear (the big round part of your ear.), a 16g in my left eyebrow, a 16g in my right nostril, and a 14g in my tounge. I will post pictures if you want me too.

I haven't posted these pics yet, actually was going to do it today, but I have had alot of pictures of them on TF. I am glad that you all liked them!!

No, I do not know their exact wieghts. Thaey have great appitites, seed millet, but no matter what I do They will not try anything else. I know it is important to them but how do I atleast make them try it.

Acouple of my newer budgies are a bit underwieght and I was wondering what should I feed them to get them to plump up a little?? Their not to thin but you can easily seel that bone in their chest. Thanks!!

Karen you have know idea!! Not only is he an escape artist but now that he is mixed in with the rest of the flock he is teaching them his habits. Houdini was definitely the best name fro him. Now we have Jake trying to pull his antics of escaping, plus Jake has learned that if I have someone out and not him he goes to the food door and pulls it up and lets it fall making an awful racket!!! But I love them all even with their little antics. Sorry about this but I am still a little confused, What is ceaser, or is that still up for debate?? I love her so much, and I have never seen one like her before. Thanks!!

The thing is, when Petrie and Ceaser are in the same cage they fight constantly. No matter how many toys are in their cage, they want the same ones, at the same time. If the toys are not a problem them it is something else, maybe the same spot to sit in or something. I thought this would be a good way for them to still see each other for a couple of hours a day and then have their separate spaces. In fact, when Petrie is out with the rest of the flack sje tends to hang by herself, or with me. I'll try it but I don't know if it will work. Should I try pitting them together or not? Thanks!!
