And to answer your question Riebie, they all have come from the same petshop. I don't know of any breeder around here. I am usually there for about an hour just watching and looking. So far I have been pretty lucky with the ones that I have brought home.

Well we have decided on two names: Franklin, named after the county I was born in, Franklin Ohio. And because my mom says he looks like frankenstien. He is already being called Frankie for short!! AND..... I had a few requests fro this name, so I decided to use it but put a little twist on the spelling. She looks like a sweet little daisy and her sweet but spunky personality fits the name. We still have not decided on a name for the little female but the name is coming soon. The newest possibilities are Marshmellow, Bubbles, or Cirrus.

Well today is the day that "Tweeter was introduced to the rest of the flock. Well atleast the other 4 that were out of quarentine. It was very funny to watch them play together and it seemed that he knew that they were the ones he was talking to all this time. Her are some pics: "Why are we all out here for?" We were thinking of the name daisy, but it will not be for the new one. The names that we had origionally picked out for "Tweeter" and "Twitter" aren't working out. They just don't seem to fit their personalities. I think that Twitter looks more like a daisy so Im going to run that by my mom tonight. Thanks again.

We are actually thinking of naming her Jersey because of the main characters in one of my favorite movies: Cyotte Ugly. Her name was Violet but they called her Jersey. What do you think??

Okay I have some more pictures and I think that she may be some type of violet. She really looks purple to me and my mom. What do you think? I know this one doesn't show her colors but it shows how cute she is. This shows some of her purplish color. A closer look at her. This shows her against our blue floor. Don't you just love those wings. One of my favorite pics of her so far.... And this one too!!! Hope you like her. Her color is even a little deeper than that and her cheek spots are a light purple instead of the dark that it shows. Oh ya and one of her on one favorite perches:

Okay I have a few pics tonight. Hope you like her: So cute!! Her blue is really a grayish-blue, and it's not as bright as it shows in the pictures. Here is her wings. I am checking the game of names but still any other suggestions would help.

Well, we're home and the new edition is here. She not the type that I origionally thought of but I love her just the same. I was actually able to hold her in the pet store. I'll try to get some pictures but if I don't get any tonight I'll get some tomarrow sometime. I think she is an opaline some type of blue yellow face type 2 pied??? I am going to need some help with that. when I get the pictures up. As for the signiture i was planning on working that soon. I just changed my avatar today so that when I change the sig. I will still have Petrie on here.

Well, I called the place that I usually get my budgies from and they said they were getting another bunch in tonight so I might be bringing one home if they have one that I am looking for. Either a Recessive pied sky blue/cobalt, or a yellow face type 2 cobalt. I just thought I would let you know, and I'll keep you updated on what happens.

How many do you think this cage could house comfortably??

I was browsing through ebay ad I came across this cage. How many budgies do you think could live comfortably in this? I hope its more than six because thats what I have right now and I am hunting for a couple of mutations. Anyway what do you think?? Awsome Cage I have started saving but hopefully I will get some money from my relatives on my birthday next month, so this cage can become a real nice home for my budgies.

I knew this could happen and it has. Houdini is growing ever so protective of HIS things in the cage. He believes if anyone messes with those things that he should get aggressive. Now he is actually chasing the others off of the cage when they are out together and then not letting on top of the cage again. I have already separated him trying to calm him down a little but I feel like it is cruel keeping him by himself. I would put him in my room but Tweeter and Twitter are still in quaentine. Any suggestions??

We have one of those at our house, no one likes it too much but it is still available for use if they need it. Those pictures are soo cute, thanks for sharing.

I know what you mean and the clip them so short too. After they grow back I usually clip them so the can still fly but so they can't get into too much trouble. If that makes any sense!!

She is making some really good progress this week. She trusts me now and will perch on my finger some, but only for a little while. I am looking at this one. What do you think?? New Cage

I have two cages that are almost the same but one is wider than the other. One of them is 17.5L x 13W x 22.5H - That one houses three, and my other houses the other three. Is this a good set up or do I need to get a bigger cage and house them all together? All of my birds get atleast 3+ hours out of the cage a day, if not more. What do you think??

I have a couple of questions about cage size and the number of birds living in them. What size cage is good for one budgie? Three? and finally Six? Thanks you and I look forward to your replies.
