Looooooooooooong Overdue!
(Laughing out loud) Pixie! Lisachormis- Hey you! The 1st bird named Oscar was Tango boyfreind The only bird she did NOT attack out of my flock HAHAHAHA Yes i am handy i guess, or just very bored so make things for my pets cuz im obsessed with them... (Laughing out loud). Do you like the cage cover eh? Nice and thin, but colourful and works like a charm doesnt it? Guys, about 7 years ago my mom and I went to fabric store, and i picked out a very thin, light, colourful fabric full of pet birds on it such as Goulidians, Javas, Budgies, Cockatoos, and amazons... Also hycainth Macaws... It is sooo cool! Lisa you should take a picture of it for people! Im going to make another one, for my big cage..... And since we moved, and my new room is blue, instead of the sea green colour of background that the other one i made is, this one wil be blue To match the cage colour, my bed comforter, and the walls (Laughing out loud). Hurdy Birdy- Yuppers! Thats him! Hes gone a loooooooooong way, and helaed up PREFECTLY ! ! ! Hes my favourite bird now, and loves me a lot!!! Hes more violet now, so i think hes a violet, but others say cobalt. Comopared to my skyblue he looks purple, same with when compared to my yellow faced male he looks purple. Then, when put near my violet hen whos VERY fushia colour, he looks more cobalt, (Laughing out loud)... Isnt a charm though? And just imaigine how cute him bred to Tango (In lisachorims' signature) the babies they would creat! STUNNING ones! Heres the link to the exact cage and dealer i got mine from in February or March of this year. Hes VERY nice, and to ship form Florida to Guelph, it only costed $174.00 CAN dollars! Isnt that amazing! http://cgi.ebay.ca/NEW-32X21-HQ-PARROT-BIR...1QQcmdZViewItem I did however ask for white, and he sent blue, but blue was my 2nd choice so i was happy either way (Laughing out loud). It was packaged well, no damage was done, and it is VERY easy to put it together! Only a diagram is given, but its VERY self explanitory to setup, and i had it up and birds in it in 30 min of it arriving Kirby

Looooooooooooong Overdue!
Thanks guys! I love them too! Soooooooooo much, and i dont know what i would/could do if i didnt have them They arent thetamest, but most definately are fun to watch, and i love watching the pairs i have within the flock feed, preen, and somtimes even practise mating in the big cage. Then, since little Oscar doesnt have a mate yet (am getting him a female soon) hes fallen in love with the toy you see in the background of the picture of him (the 2nd photo, those two things are lovers, and Oscar mates it daily) (Laughing out loud) The cage was off of ebay. I got it in March, or maybe february even. It was a dealer in Florida, and to get to my front door it only cost $174.00 CAN :D Was most definately worth every penny!!! I want to get another one, as my birds wont breed in a smaller cage, they like to have lots of room, and be free, so if i got another one, i could put the pair i want breeding alone in it, and i GAUARANTEE babies... For some reason when i put them in a breeding cage, they loose interest in mating Kirby

Looooooooooooong Overdue!
Thanks Max! Hes a cobalt spangle! Thansk, I also LOVEEEEEEEEE THE CAGE!!!! ITs 32" long, 36" tall (59" overall including stand), and 21" wide... My birds LOVE it, and use every inch of it! They fly, flap, and can 'float' in it. Meaning they can fly, and 'tread water' on the air becuase the cage is so big. Many of the toys i made myself, and thats, im happy with the setup. So is my family, the birds, and i couldn tbe happier, well i guess an aviary would make me happy, (Laughing out loud) There are 5 ni it comfotably, and soon to be 6 again, after i fetch my new female as a mate for the cobalt spangle you love so much. Hes single now, after i had to sell his girlfreind, and its time for a new one that one hurt my other birds Kirby

Looooooooooooong Overdue!
Hey Riebie! Kirby- the yellow face chews my finger and is curious about me hand and head when hes happy. But not a Blinky thats for sure. Oscar - the spangle is the freindyliest, and if he was a single budgie, without a doubt would be a Blinky to me. Hes freanly, outgoing, loves my hand and arm and shoulders e.t.c. Ariel- the pied hates me unless i have millet or grass...(Laughing out loud) Belle - the slyblue HATES ME EVEN MORE!!! She sees me and flies away faster than a tornado! Chico- yellow pied is like Kirby. Freindly, but not the next Blinky (Laughing out loud) Kirby

Is Oscar Split To Pied?
Hey guys! My Oscar, a violet or cobalt spangle male was plucked as a baby... Then, as he moulted new feathers, there is a noticeable white spot like dominant pieds have on the back of their heads. His mom was a skyblue spangle, and his father was a cobalt normal cock. I do NOT remember if one of the parents had the pied spot as i was so excited to pick Oscar and take him home that i didnt think about finding out more info on him and his gene pool. His siblings were either 2 greywing (or clearwing, i didnt know the details when i saw them... their wings looked greyish, but VERY light, almost silver???) and they were cobalt blues, then there was 2 blue spangles (Oscar was one, there was a female IDENTICAL to him), then a pied blue baby. Now, i didnt think about figuring out what kind of pied he is/was becuase i just focused on Oscar, so i dont know if he was dominant or recessive? He was the youngest baby, and most un-developed of them all. So, heres a picture of Oscar: (this is old picture...about 6 weeks ago... he was going through moult, im getting new pics soon... Thanks!) http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e104/pet...ic/MVC-005F.jpg So, the thing im confused about is if the pied spot on the back of his head is just white feathers growing in from when he was plucked by his mom, or if he really is dominant pied? Hes got no other iregular patterns/spots... but this has been ocnfusing me for a while. Karen, and I both agreed he was dominant pied then, as i showed her Oscar on webcam numerous times, but i thought id ask everyone else to. Thanks guys! Kirby

Photo Splurge
(Laughing out loud) I love you Shawna! I totally agree with everything you said, and yu agree with most stuff i said! (Laughing out loud)... :ausb: I truely feel that would work GREAT to put them together for at least a month before... so they get use to eachother, and work out battles so they bond together, and want babies when the nest is introduced :ausb: (Laughing out loud). Yes, im VERYYYYYYYYY ANXIOUS to start breeding, and LOVE when other people breed their biurds, becuase i love seeing them grow up, and sharing the wonderful epxerience with them. Its amazing how the grow so fast, and i love the lil babies! My ABSOLUTE favourite age is when they are 24-26 days old If you notce, around that age, they are all almost grown in, but still look like tini tiny babies that you watched grow the past 25 days in a nest. Keep me/us posted on breeding progress in future, and best of luck. Im going to be setting up my one pair around mid-late August, then my other around same time IF* im allowed to get another breeder cage for only $25 Kirby

What Would I Get With These Two
Hmmm... Im thinkin the male is a recessive, but the last 5 days my heads been confused about dominant and recessive so...(Laughing out loud). If hes a recessive pied i think youll get: -normal greens -dominant pied greens -babies split to recessive, opaline, and clearwing... If hes a dominant pied i think youll get: -normal greens -double factor green dominant pieds -dominant green pieds -babies split to opaline, recessive, and clearwing... Im not that sure though... im still not as pro as Nerwen (Laughing out loud) Best of luck with them, and how have they been together? Or do you have the male in quaranteen? Kirby

Photo Splurge
(Laughing out loud) yay thanks Shawna!!! Im excited about your possibly yf blue spangle PIEDS even possibly What will you breed them in do you think? The black one? That would work greatttt!!!!! (Laughing out loud) I want to see babies from your guys sooo badly! Must be adorable! And, to make Wylie pair up with Bella, you should pet them together in a seperate cage. They will bond in no time, and it will be eaiser to breed birds who are in love, then birds who are just together with next box Thats what i did with my Kirby and Belle. Were both 'single' and i put them together in cage not trying to pair them up, and now 4 months later, in big cage, they still feed, mate daily, and are madly in love! You should try it out (Laughing out loud)... Kirby
-
Oh No!
No, you honestly do! They are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE TOGETHER!!!! I loveeeeeee the picture of them both shown with full bodies in the cam! To see their gorgeous tails, or shall i say lack of (Laughing out loud) Kirby
