thanks guys!! ive tried the bowl with lettuce leaves but he wont have a bath in it - he just pulls the leaves out and drinks the water - i leave thge bowl every day just in case he changes his mind. he sometimes likes a bath but only under a running tap! he;s very fussy! kirby - yeah its not a very good picture. his nose (oops i mean cere) is just turning from a purply colour to blue now and he is moulting so he has starting to lose his head bars. he's not a baby anymore. in real life hes actually a lighter blue than in that picture - kind of sky blue. Jannette you are so right!! we always get rubbish weather! its not really sunny here though just hot which is totally rubbish - cant even get a tan!! :ausb: thanks for all your suggestions guys.

It's really warm just now and its proving to be a bit much for wee Oscar!! We couldn't open any of the windows and he decided to fly about like a loony! He looks really skinny and he kept lifting his wings up to cool down! silly sausage!! Phew its hot in here!

hes doing brilliant. totally trained now - apart from when its bedtime!!! he's talking quite a bit now and he follows us everywhere!!

im sorry to hear about your little one. i agree with lin i think you should take him straight to an avian vet. please let us know how you get on.

oh im really sorry Phoebe, what a horrible decision to have to make. you shouldnt feel guilty you should be proud that you gave her a loving home. im sure she will get a great family and will love her as much as you did. take care

did you start training him when he was a baby? I think its a lot more difficult to do when they are older. Have you tried bribing him with millet to get him onto your finger?

Managed to get a few pictures of Oscar flying today - it was pretty hard because he flies sooo fast!! Enjoy!

i think the trick is not to react to the bite - eventually he should give up. i know its hard when they are clinging on for dear life!! ouch! Good luck!!! Somebody with more experience will probably come up with some more tips for you!

does it only happen when he is in his cage? or is it all the time?
