Is My Budgie Really A Baby?
Budgies need a variety of seed, pellets, veggies, fruits and assortment of healthy food on a daily basis to keep them healthy. They tend to be picky eaters and will only eat seed if given. Many stores sell birds but don't have great knowledge so I can say you came to the perfect place to start getting your budgie on the road to a healthy diet. We have an excellent article in the FAQ section under Nutrition that talks about what to feed budgies along with a food an nutrition forum that you can read an ask questions. Also how big is your cage? Was that a starter too? If so it may be too small for your budgie.

Is My Budgie Really A Baby?
Some baby budgies can get iris rings pretty quick I know Merlin had an iris ring before his first molt and his cere was still pink. So yes your budgie is a baby. Do you have pictures you can post of him too? Oh and welcome to the forums :budgiedance:

Wanna Breed :)
I completely agree with maise it sounds like taking a step back and reading up, collecting an ER fund for an avian vet is in order. Your right budgies can breed like there is no tommorrow that is why there are so many homeless budgies out there in shelters and many that are not cared for properly. Have you considered what you will be doing with the babies? Will you keep them but can you keep them all? If you don't keep them who will you adopt too? Along with that many times once you get them breeding even it you just want to do it 1x do expect that after it the hen may be an egg layer that you can't stop (it does happen). I don't want to come over offensive that is not my intention but also want you to possible think of things that you have not thought of yet. Welcome to the forums :hap:.

Birdy Antics
Pretty loved his plastic ball and was very much the same way. Now that he passed away and it is just Merlin he does the same thing loves his plastic ball. Flings it, jumps on it when I am holding it, runs after it when I shake it :hap:.

Questions About Cage
I completely agree there with maise and Kaz you really have to look at it from their point of few they are born to fly from perch to perch. If they don't have enough room I believe to be able to personally fly without having out time the cage too me is too small. That is me though. As Liv said work toward getting a bigger cage you can always keep the smaller one for quarantine in the future or a sick cage. On E-Bay you will find cages for very reasonable prices. My cage is listed in Cage Set-ups in the FAQ section it can house 4 comfortable and it was only 100.00 US.

Poo Problems
We do have an article about the difference between regurgitation vs vomiting in the health section make sure you read that over to ensure which one is which. If it is vomiting it is for serious concern if it is regurgitation as maise said it not too much to be concerned with at this point.

Petie And Bella!
Don't feel offended there are so many people on this forum that care and are very passionate about the care of birds (budgies). We see so many people who don't heed advice and it is hard to show emotion through just typed words. So know that the questions are in concern for your budgies and not meant to be offensive in anyway :budgiedance:. Glad you took out the nestboxes.
