  12. if it comes and goes and he doesn't eat a variety of greens then you need to have your bird seen by an avian vet, green poos (bright ones) can be a sign of liver dysfunction, I am NOT saying this is the issue I am only saying it is a sign that is why a good check-up from an avian vet is bet. They can do a poo culture and make sure there is nothing wrong. One thing about birds if you wait 3 days to see if it they get better they could be dead. Pretty was flying around find in the morning and by afternoon he had runny poos and in the evening he passed away inspite of the vet visit. I am not here to scare you but let you know the facts so you can make a wise decision for the health of your bird.

  18. to breed budgies it is best to understand the ins and outs as much as you can and also have a plan on what to do with the babies, any issues that may occur. If you are looking for a buddy for your hen there is no reason to breed her. She may lay an egg it is natural but once they start laying because you bred them it is VERY hard to stop the cycle. I always suggest the same sex therefore you will not have any unwanted clutches (there are enough unwanted budgies in the world in shelters, rescues etc...). This is the best route and the if you do decide to bred down the road once you are more informed you can get a male. This is my opinioin.
