*Changing my opinion* (Laughing out loud). I'm almost positive that it's a female now because of the brown. Males dont have any tap of brown on their cere's, so now I'm convinced that it's a female. After the moult it may turn ALL brown or tan. If most of the area around the nostrill's are bright or white/brown then it's going to be a female. I knew that when I saw the picture the first time I saw a hint of brown but I also saw blue, so I was kinda confused then. Now since we verified that it was actually a little brown there it's more than likely that Sherbet is a female

Yeah (Laughing out loud) I know it's kinda hard to see inside because my zoom isn't that great. I'll try giving the cage a good scrub too, I only wiped it the last time (Laughing out loud). Daz, I think it might be able to hold 6 or 7 budgies in there with out any problem's what do you think? I know Kathy5 or just Kathy on this forum has a cage that is slightly smaller thahjn mive and she said she houses 7 birds in it without any problems. So I may just keep 6 or 7 in it. Thanks for the compliments guy's.

How about snaping another picture after the molt so we can see if anything has changed, because around the nostrils I believe there is a tad bit of brown right?

I'll look into the breeding cages, thanks. The cage has 5 perches in all, 1 wood perch you can see, the other 2 are hidden by the 2 food cups, 1 rope perch, and 1 green concrete perch next to the cuttle bone. Plus there are 2 swing's and 1 treat perch with a small treat cup on it, and 1 millet holder with a perch at each end. So in all they have 9 spot's to sit in . Oh yeah I forgot about the wood one on the door of the cage used for where they can perch out of the cage when the cage door is open. So that makes 10 perches in all.

Yep, kinda look like a male to me. I can see that it seems like he's going through a bad molt (Laughing out loud). I guess that explains why he's looking like he's ready to bite!

Are you talking about the rope perches? If so they do have a small one in there, near the back. Bubbles is standing on it. Tell me if you spot it, I know it's kinda hard to see (Laughing out loud).

(Laughing out loud), I dont even know what kind of cage it is, it didnt say. I'm fairly new to large cages like this...you really think the set-up look's nice? I was hoping to get some idea's from here. Thanks for the compliment though.

Post a picture of the cere. It MAY be a boy I'm not sure. I'll be a little more accurate when I look at the cere (Laughing out loud).

(Laughing out loud), I know those people at that pet store seems like they dont know anything about birds nor the value of cages!. It explains why they are kept in those horrible conditions.

Hi everyone! I just got my budgies a brand new cage from a flea market that only costed $80 brand new in the box! I saw the same cage for $100 and up at other places and on the web. I know a few people on here have this same cage but their's may have two doors on it but the same exact dimensions. I bought it a few day's ago (it was for my birthday) and also got a new digital camera!. It was fairly easy to put up the cage, didn't take long at all. Here it is: I'm sorry that I couldn't get one with the whole cage including the stand, but here is how the cage look's exactly but this one has the two little doors. http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Large-32-x21-x59-W...1QQcmdZViewItem Here is another cage that I recently got to about a month or two ago. I'm thinking about using it in the near future when I breed my birds. This cage here only has one Nest-box attachment door. The bar's are only a little little bit spreaded apart half of their heads can fit through it. I was thinking about putting wire mesh on the inside, the kind they use for aviary's. I'll also have to re-paint it too because when you touch it, it leaves some kind of white powdery stuff on your hand?? The wood perch on the top of the cage attaches to a little bar right above the two ladders. I'll have to screw that back in also.
  11. Yep, the parent's will probally enitce them out of the box when they feel that they are ready to come out or they have been in there too long. As with her laying again, do you want more babies? If not there are way's that you can prevent them from hatching
