when my last budgie got sick I was not properly prepared to what I could to help it recover and with winter coming soon, I want to be ready.

Can anyone recommend a good heat pad designed mainly for budgies when theyre sick and need to be kept warm?

I've never heard of a heating pad for budgies either... but you can get them for reptiles. Good luck on your search.

there are not heat pads made for birds

You just use the normal human ones

I had to go buy a new one for my Brooder(its a fish tank that half of the tank sits on top of a heating pad) I had a bit of trouble finding one that didn't shut off after it was on for so long(those kind are no use to me I'd have to wake up several times during the night to turn it back on)

but I finally found one at my local Walgreen Pharmacy

but they also make a Heated perch I've never used it but know a lot of people who do and they love them as does their bird(s)

I know its mainly for larger animals such as dogs, but could it work by putting it under neath a cage aswell?

I would think that trying to heat the cage from underneath would be useless,. Your budgie is going to perch up high, and any warmth on the floor of the cage will not reach to the perch. You were given good answers to the heat issue in your other post, where people told you to use a warm lamp.
