I would think that would be fine. Some of us bake up foods for our birds that contain whole grain items, and I'm pretty sure that's what Wheet-bix has in it, doesn't it?

Can't speak for Budgies, just Galahs. But the difference would I think just be size relative. Feeding apples with the seeds in is very popular with the birds and IN MODERATION safe. The reason being the seeds have a small amount of arsenic in them. Arsenic in small quanities is healthy, but overdoses are fatal of course. Remember a guy I knew years ago, owned a caravan park and put out arsenic to kill the stray cats. They didn't half get to looking sleak. :laughter:

Spinach/silver beet is fine, mine love it, if leaves are wet and hung up in aviary, they use it for a bath, fun to watch.

In f.a.q. there is a section of safe/ unsafe food,(just type safe foods in search) very handy to check before giving any new foods as sometimes the least likely thing can be harmful.
