Posted May 2, 200619 yr The season is here for the cocky stinky bird and Pretty is it!! Talking to Terri, she informed me that eveyone's parrots are acting up because this is breeding season over here and Pretty is no different. Flying back and forth from curtian to curtain, not going back in his cage and not stepping up when he is supposed too. Don't you like how bath pictures bring them down a notch enjoy I am sorry mom I won't do the curtain thing anymore Really I am innocent, thats not me, I am good :hap: Enjoy - I did
May 2, 200619 yr Awww bless him and has he behaved since? (Laughing out loud) What is it you have on the cage beside him?
May 2, 200619 yr Author Has he behaved well...not really. I got some good advice and I am working with him. I let him out in a smaller room and one that he is not used to as much. With the smaller room he has less places to land and be so stinky. He is finger tamed totally but he is being stinky because of hormones, I am just happy he does not bite like some do. That is a stick of Timothy (alphalfa) that they give to rabbits, I hung it in his cage so he has something to bite on and eat other then his cuttlebone. He doesn't work with it much but every so often. I figured since it was safe for him why not, it is dried and it doesn't get mold or anything and it can help keep his beak trim. And he then preens the rope that holds it (Laughing out loud) that is why it is frayed.
May 3, 200619 yr Author he is though Bea, the look on his face is priceless, I can tell you that bath did bring him down a notch he loved me all over again
May 3, 200619 yr Now there is a most unhappy camper, cute but really annoyed at it all. :(Laughing out loud):
May 3, 200619 yr He looks adorable and slightly annoyed. He's a good little guy. I wish I could say that Bunny doesn't bite.
May 3, 200619 yr Author thanks ladies he hates baths so I have to take him in the bathroom and give him his bath (Laughing out loud) and then afterwards he is my best buddy imagine that. Water vs Human (will take human anyday :(Laughing out loud)
May 3, 200619 yr Author he doesn't I was going to try a shower with him, I tried the faucet and he was like out of there, I did the dish but he is still shy in investigating different things. I really want a water loving budgie do you have any
May 4, 200619 yr Author yep I did the lettuce leaves that is when I got a picture of him hopping in and out and posted it. But he doesn't do a full out bath.
