May 1, 200619 yr Author A little but if he has really deep purple cheek patches does that make him a violet? When I got him that's what I was told he is but I've never really found anything that clearly defines the difference.
May 1, 200619 yr Really deep purple cheekpatches mean he is carrying a violet gene, not neccessarily that he is violet. Because your budgie looks like he is a sky blue, his violet is not showing. He would have one violet factor. You need two violet factors in a sky blue and one in a cobalt to make a true violet.
