last night mommy bird (mika) did not sit on her babies and i lost 3 i am so depresed i cried it was so horrible i am watching the two that are left i am so sadi cant believe it could go so wrong well anyway the other two are okay and strong...

((((hugs)))) That's so sad. It's terrible losing them so young. Keep an eye on the remaining two, if mum isn't keeping them warm perhaps you should bring them inside and rear them yourself.

well i dont no how mom feels about mew cheking on them every 5minutes but i am really scared i will lose my last 2 from my first clutch even though i was suprised i got over it well as over it aS YOU CAN ...well thank you for your seport....

Thats the thing with breeding, there could be a million ups, but then 2 million downs.... Hows the other guys doing? Does the other hen have any babies yet? We havenot heard from you in a while :fear

 

I know its not really the time to ask, but would you be able to take the camera in the aviary with you next time you go in to check on the two chicks, and snap some shots of the aviry, the hens, the babies, and the cock birds? That way, we can all see them, and you can have picture to cherish if god forbid anything happens to the other babies?
