Posted April 29, 200619 yr here is a picture of my newest additions , he has black eyes and a white cheek spot , he has no markings but on the belly he has a tint of blue . so l don't no for sure what type of budgie he is? any guesses? Edited April 29, 200619 yr by birdluv
April 29, 200619 yr Well he is some sort of white based bird. Perhaps a yellow face type II dilute clearwing of somesorts, becasue he has no wing markings and his blue is so dilute. His yellow however spreads onto his wings and tail like a normal YF2 but not into his body colour. Oh, no it actually seems to spread into his body colour a bit . I hope that helps (I'm still a bit new to budgie genetics) You can't see his wing markings at all, perhaps he is some sort of pied mutation? aswell??? May 2, 200619 yr Can you post more pics - a little closer so we can see the wings and belly colour. Looks like a real beauty you have there.
May 3, 200619 yr She's very pretty. I think maybe a yellowface double factor spangle.. I heard something about DF spangles retaining a blueish tint.
May 3, 200619 yr Yeah I was thinking a Double factor spangle or a DEC. Both of these look like a Ino bird with out the red eyes. I believe, not sure on it, that both mutations can still have a blue tinted blody when involving the yellowface gene as well. You will have to wait to see iris rings to see which one it is, the DEC doesn't get any while the DF spangle does.
