A spangle and a double factor spangle???

picture please if possible!!

Thanks

Here is a skyblue spangle.

Normal wing feathers have the black markings inside the shape of the feather where by the spangle have it on the outside edge of the feather.

A double factor spangle looks like an albino except with black eyes.

Double Factor Spangles

Spots - None

Body Colour - Full colour

Markings - to be absent

Eyes - Black with Iris ring

Cheek Patches - Silvery White

Tail Quil - neutral

Tail - Approaching Body Colour

Primaries - Approaching Body Colour

Single factor spangle is where they have the thin markings one the edge of the wings. A Double factor spangle looks like Luntino or Albinos without the red eyes.

I can only show you a SF spangle:

So is a double factor spangle the same as a dark eyed clear then??

YEP

And there isn't a way looking at the bird to tell which one it is.

The two are different verieties.

Double Factor Spangle and Dark Eyed Clears.

According to the website there is a way to tell the difference

Genetically double-factor spangles are all yellow or all white (depending on base color). You can tell a budgie is double-factor spangle because its irises lighten normally with age. Comparatively, lutinos/albinos have red eyes and dark-eyed clears have dark plum eyes throughout their lives.

Is that correct Nerwen or Daz?

Yes and a Double Factor Spangle has an Iris Ring.

But when they are babies....they dont have an iris ring...sooooo

You cant tell difference!.....What is plum...isnt that purpleish? So....you have to get a good close up to make sure then? Does anyone have pis for us?....

The two are different verieties.

:) I read the question ot mean the look the same as each other. But they arn't the same thing.

Is that correct Nerwen or Daz?

Makes sence to me, the DEC has recessive pied genes and they have the plum coloured eyes.

What is plum...isnt that purpleish?

Yep a purleish /red.

So my Saffron must be a double factor spangle, because she is all yellow with no markings, but she has iris rings and black eyes.
