Why doesnt my Tobi girl have iris rings she is coming up to almost a year old and as you can see there isnt a sign of any coming at all. I was told she is a yellowface opaline spangle. But wouldnt it mean she would have to have some recessive in her for her not to get one?

good questions, I remember Rainbow saying that one of her birds iris ring was very very light and could only be seen at a certain angle?

 

But the recessive gene is certainly a good questions for sure??

She definitely hasnt got one at all. Ive been inspecting her lots lately with being poorly so had an extra close up and nope nothing.

 

She has no pied markings either.

 

Is my baby unique - of course she is to me!
