Posted March 29, 200619 yr Well, I called the place that I usually get my budgies from and they said they were getting another bunch in tonight so I might be bringing one home if they have one that I am looking for. Either a Recessive pied sky blue/cobalt, or a yellow face type 2 cobalt. I just thought I would let you know, and I'll keep you updated on what happens.
March 29, 200619 yr same here! I think you should change your signature now....ill get mixed up of who you have...(Laughing out loud) Allthough we dont mind seeing Beautiful Petrie Good luck! Kirby
March 29, 200619 yr Lucky you. I'm avoiding any place that sells budgies these days because I don't want to be tempted. I've sworn to my husband that I won't by anymore unless I can find a yellowface II spangle. I've yet to see any kind of spangle around here so chances are pretty good I won't find one. Looking forward to meeting your new cutie!
March 30, 200619 yr Author Well, we're home and the new edition is here. She not the type that I origionally thought of but I love her just the same. I was actually able to hold her in the pet store. I'll try to get some pictures but if I don't get any tonight I'll get some tomarrow sometime. I think she is an opaline some type of blue yellow face type 2 pied??? I am going to need some help with that. when I get the pictures up. As for the signiture i was planning on working that soon. I just changed my avatar today so that when I change the sig. I will still have Petrie on here. Edited March 30, 200619 yr by Misty
March 30, 200619 yr congrats ps I love Petrie even though she is over at Rainbow Bridge she reminds me of Pretty.
March 30, 200619 yr Author Okay I have a few pics tonight. Hope you like her: So cute!! Her blue is really a grayish-blue, and it's not as bright as it shows in the pictures. Here is her wings. I am checking the game of names but still any other suggestions would help.
March 30, 200619 yr I replied to the post in justbudgies.com about her Misty! Shes a beauty!!! Shes a yellow faced blue type I dominant opaline pied...possibly cinnamon And for names, id say Grace, Lilly, Angel, Cazmere (AKA Caz for short), Star, Belle, Aero or Skye....since all of those names are soft, femine, cute budgie names!!! March 30, 200619 yr Author Okay I have some more pictures and I think that she may be some type of violet. She really looks purple to me and my mom. What do you think? I know this one doesn't show her colors but it shows how cute she is. This shows some of her purplish color. A closer look at her. This shows her against our blue floor. Don't you just love those wings. One of my favorite pics of her so far.... And this one too!!! Hope you like her. Her color is even a little deeper than that and her cheek spots are a light purple instead of the dark that it shows. Oh ya and one of her on one favorite perches:
March 30, 200619 yr She's totally irresistable !! There is NO WAY you could have walked away and left her there. She would have jumped in my pocket too
March 31, 200619 yr boy she is a cutie and a half I think your right with the violet. I couldn't have left her either.
March 31, 200619 yr Periwinkle, she is just beautiful. I am in awe of multiple budgie owners with no hanky panky going on. Edited March 31, 200619 yr by Phoebe
March 31, 200619 yr Author We are actually thinking of naming her Jersey because of the main characters in one of my favorite movies: Cyotte Ugly. Her name was Violet but they called her Jersey. What do you think??
March 31, 200619 yr Jersey is just fine but I think Periwinkle suits her color more, good luck with your decision.
March 31, 200619 yr CALL HER DAISY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Best name for her cuteness! Jersey does NOT outline her beauty...(Laughing out loud)... Possibly right about the violet, and i dont think shes a cinnamon anymore.... Kirby
March 31, 200619 yr Always liked the name Daisy but think that lends itself more to yellow/green birds, was once going to get a dog and call her Daisy and when I retire, I probably will, great name
March 31, 200619 yr I would say that she is a yellow face type 2 (becuase she has slight yellow on her wings), dominant pied, opaline (she has blue on her back there), possibly a clearflight pied (not sure), and either a cobalt or blue with a violet and dark factor, if she is the colour you describe her as. Hey Shawna, I'm going to make you jealous . I have a yellowface type 2 spangle.
March 31, 200619 yr She is stunning - absolutely beautiful She looks like she has been dipped in bleach :(Laughing out loud): Hey Shawna, I'm going to make you jealous . I have a yellowface type 2 spangle. Can you post a picture of your yellowface type 2 spangle sailorwolf??? I would love to see one, that is also my ultimate budgie find!!!
March 31, 200619 yr Author We were thinking of the name daisy, but it will not be for the new one. The names that we had origionally picked out for "Tweeter" and "Twitter" aren't working out. They just don't seem to fit their personalities. I think that Twitter looks more like a daisy so Im going to run that by my mom tonight. Thanks again. Edited March 31, 200619 yr by Misty
April 1, 200619 yr YAYAYAAYAYYA...i agree Misty! Twitter is a better Daisy!..... And im sure your mom will agreee! Do youhave new pics of them all for us? Id LOVE to see more of Houdini, Daisy, Tweeter, ans the others!!!.... Kirby
April 1, 200619 yr Author No names yet and I will be getting some pictures oday of the group because today is the day that "Tweeter" comes out of quarentine. I will get some pics of the introductions.
April 3, 200619 yr Author Hi, This is Melissa's mom and she is quite upset at the moment because the little budgie that we just got, Blossom, didn't make it. I told her from now on we are not getting a bird the night that they come in to the pet store. I think thats alot of stress on the bird and the pet store workers don't have time to see if the birds are healthy. Its been a little it of bad luck and Melissa is pretty upset. She is afraid that all of you will be upset with her but trust me she loves her flock and every new edition with all of her heart, so please don't be upset with her and give her some encouragement. Thanks~ Karen
