Posted March 4, 200619 yr this is chuckie!(short for wood chuck)he is a grey spangle and really tame he lets you stoke him and everything the 2 girls sadly still unnamed the blue one is also a spangle the 2 girls again and the other boy all 4 me and my babies my avairy :wub:and please help me name the 2 girls and the bright green male?the male is very playful and is pared with the the blue and the grey pied is very ........and the blue one is so incositive she loves beening kept entertained and in trested in everything any names

March 4, 200619 yr Oh you are so lucky. What a wonderful birthday present. The aviary is awesome and the budgies are sweet. How cold is it in the UK this time of year? I see one tree in the pics with leaves, but the other looks to be bare. We have a couple feet of snow here righ tnow so it is far to cold for birds to be outside. What about Fergie and Cammy (or Milla) for the girls, and Andy for your other boy - going with nicknames for the royal family.

March 4, 200619 yr you should get a cover put on the top of the mesh to stop them coming into contact with wild bird poop, what with bird flu and everything i think it is especially important, as well as for protection against the elements. other than that it is lovely though. and so are all the birdies. :hap:
March 4, 200619 yr Just wondering, how cold does it get there and what are the lowest temps budgies can withstand? I have no idea and just curious because you're wearing a coat... great aviary!
March 4, 200619 yr Very nice! They could sure use more perches, some toys, and a cover for the top though. They'll be rained on (and pooped on!) and it's very cold this time of year. March 5, 200619 yr the food and water is kept inside so it doesant get wet and about the plastic top my dad says we can get it tommorow we couldent get around to it yes they have more perches now that was before we had put all of them in
March 5, 200619 yr 0k ive chosen names for all four(got bored of chukie so he also has a new name) blue spangle=mike=a gift from god in natve ameican grey spangle(chuckie)=pako=eagle in native american bright green=yoki=rain in n.a grey and white pied =fala=crow in native american well thats there new names what do you think? March 5, 200619 yr i tooooooooooooook loads today sadly i could only get a few of kiwi shads and jj becouse they were on there playgym and its hard to get desent pictures bcouse it is very high up!and shadow refuesed to pose he kept insisting that he had to sit on the camerea

I was just wondering why the outer door is open (you should always keep that door closed no matter what!..especially with that black cat right beside the aviary!!![looks like a cat anyways]...I like the names....their unique! SO YOU DONT NEED TO WORRY! i would never leave it open im dead parenoid about closing it etc... sorry i spelt the blue spangles name wrong it is mika witch sounds like mike aaaa

March 6, 200619 yr they were the last thing from skittish!they had already been there for ages and had setled in and could be heard half way down our street! and the cat is about 14/15 and is not really an active sort she much pefers sleeping dont worry i will look after them it was a one off ssituation no it is not heated but it is specialy insulated and double wooded
March 6, 200619 yr i will try get some pics it is netted one side(safty door)it has nest boxses on the other and a window place to fly in amnd out a larg food/water tray and perches!

Sorry i was buggin ya with all those concerns...enjoy it!...hope they breed in spring time..which i bet the will!..where did you gte them? breeder, freind, petshop???
