Angel has been HANGING UPSIDEDOWN LIKE A BAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what is this? do you have any ideas? my idea is she wants to be a bat so she hangs upsidedown a lot.

February 27, 200619 yr I found one of mine sleeping hanging upside down from the perch one night too !! Some of them sleep laying down along the perches and on top of nesting boxes....and one of the babies sleeps leaning well forward off the perch almost upside down !! also Jimmy Barnes like to do swivel summersault thingies on the perch.....he swings forward and hangs upside down and then comes up the other side full circle. He does it over and over again and he taught another bird to do it too. He's like a ferris wheel. :ausb: Edited February 27, 200619 yr by budgiebird
February 27, 200619 yr Blinks does that too. Sometimes when he's climbing the rings slide away from perchs so then he just sits in the top ring trying to figuire out how he can reach a perch.

March 1, 200619 yr Well Tweety is 16 months old today and three weeks ago she started to hang on to the top of her cage and sleep there all night. She only does it at dusk, does not do it through the daylight hours. Noww she has started Casper doing it too. Cindy

June 4, 200619 yr Your in Janette! also Angel sometimes when Zira tries to mate with her, she scrambles up the bars of the cage and hangs upsidedown to avoid him. Ziras always very confused and immediatly starts to preen his feathers(the book i got on budgies says they do that when their embarressed )when Angel comes back down the whole spectacle is reapeted.

June 5, 200619 yr Peta your budgie's watching tv upsidedown! (Laughing out loud) Yeah they are one heck of a circus act sometimes! Woodie does this sometimes. Don't know why...I think it's amusing that they do it though. Mine hangs upside down on her perches and on her circular swings. Always seems to land on her feet though!

June 6, 200619 yr geez lets see if I can remember (Laughing out loud) He's a normal blue yellowface type 2 I hope that's right (Laughing out loud) The colour looks a bit brighter in the pics because of the flash but it's a normal sky blue colour with patches of bright green.
June 7, 200619 yr Here's Mooney hangin' upside-down. She stayed like that for such a long time, that we had to move her 'cause we were afraid her blood had all gone to her head (Laughing out loud)!
