It might be just from scratching - their little nails are sharp. But I would keep an eye on it and if you are really worried take him to your avian vet. Perhaps others could suggest a topical to put on it??
February 25, 200619 yr I would check out your cage for any sharp objects, and of course keep an eye on the wound.
February 25, 200619 yr i sprayed a bit of water like when he has a "bath" its clean and i can see a little cut like a paper cut, i think he cut his self when scratching as he always scratches his head :ausb: and also he is eating drinking, chirping, talking and of coarse pecking me and his mirrors so he seems fine, just rubbing his cut on the perches alot now, it must sting or anoy him :hap: Edited February 25, 200619 yr by garylouden
February 25, 200619 yr if it seems to get worse in the next 2/3 days i would advise to have it looked at by a vet
February 25, 200619 yr It sounds like he's been scratching at his eye and has probably got a little cut. This isn't that serious but you have to wonder why he was scratching enough to cause damage. One of my budgies once did this and when we took her to the vet we found that she had sinusitus which was easily treatable. You should probably go to an avian vet just to check for an underlying problem.
