Posted February 18, 200619 yr I'm looking for a new cage for my K'ulli and a future friend or two. Let me know what you guys think. Napoleon Top Cage #106 (32 in. W x 20 in. D x 5 ft. 2 in. H) Inside Height 41 inches 1/2 inch bar spacing and 4mm bars VOTED ~ Durable ~ Safe ~ ~ Non-Toxic ~ Quality Cages ~ by the ASPCA For Zebra Finches to African Greys Bird Cage Price: $490.00 (shipping included) Playpen top easily opens and closes Slide-out metal grill & catch tray Most durable, non-toxic, powder coated paint finish available 4 sliding acrylic feeder doors to deflect food. 4 plastic 6 oz. cups Plexiglass seed guards Patented safety lock 2 breeder box doors slide open 3 perches Bird cage knocks down for compact storage Strong shelf for storage Ball bearing brass casters Bird cage weight 95 lbs I loooove this one. I think it's very well designed from a visual standpoint. It has the ASPCA seal of approval, although that may just be a marketing ploy. I like the playpen top too. It is the most expensive and will take me the longest to save for, but if money were no object I would choose this one. Triple Top Model ELF-3221 (32 in W x 21 in D x 5 ft 1 in H) 1/2 inch bar spacing with 2.5 mm bars Inside Height 34 in Bird Cage Price: $290.00 (shipping included) Bird cage stand included Durable, non-toxic, powder coated paint finish Slide out grill & tray Vertical bars. Front door safety latch Plexiglass seed guards 2 plastic feeding stations Large front cage door 2 nest box door openings 4 easy rolling casters Bird cage knocks down for compact storage This is my next favorite. The pricing is reasonable, but it'll still take me a while to save. It's not as good looking as the Napoleon top cage nor as tall. Pyramid Top Model ELF-3222 (32 in W x 22 in D x 5 ft 8 in H) 3/8 inch bar spacing with 3 mm bars Finches to Conures Bird Cage Price: $269.00 (shipping included) Bird cage stand included Durable, non-toxic, powder coated paint finish Slide out grill & tray Vertical bars 4 plastic cups Plexiglass seed guards 1 perch 2 nest box door openings 4 easy rolling casters Bird cage knocks down for compact storage Weight 80 lbs This is another option. I think the pyramid tops look kinda cool, but it's not very practical for hanging toys. For the size I'm looking for it is the cheapest of the King Cages line. Loro Flight Cage List price: $629.99 Our Price: $379.97 FREE Ground Shipping Today! The 1/2-inch bar spacing, 3/16-inch wire gauge, and bird-proof door lock ensure that all birds will be secure inside this flight cage. A top grate under the peaked roof allows you to either remove the roof completely or add a full spectrum light between the roof and the grate. This bird cage features a slide-out tray for easy cleaning. Recommended Birds for this Cage include: Finches and Small Amazons Cage Material: Steel Dimensions: 30W x 24D x 36H inches Style: Flight Cage Weight: 123 lbs This is another pyramid top style cage, though this one seems to have a grate at the top so I can attach hanging toys easily. It's more expensive than the King Cages pyramid top. I like the visual design on this one too, but I almost feel that if I'm going to pay this much for this one, I might aswell get my dream cage which is the first one on the list. So what do you guys think. It's a tough one for me. All I know for sure is that I really like the sizes of all the cages and that K'ulli would probably love them all.
February 19, 200619 yr those cages are gorgeous Did you recently, see eterri post where she is getting a cage similar and the price is only about 1/3 of what the asking is on these cages.
February 19, 200619 yr Nice cages but the prices seem high. Try birdcagemart.com for similar sized cages at much lower prices.
February 19, 200619 yr Tiki Treehouse Do you mean this one Lovey? I just found it on another post and it really is much more reasonably priced. It's not as attractive as the others, but I can change that too. Hmmmm. It actually gave me a good idea for a cage cover that I can sew for myself. I wonder if there are any more good deal sout there..... Just found an even cheaper one! Ugh...I thought this thread would help me make a decision, now I just have more choices! February 19, 200619 yr Vroomvroom....im going to get that last cage you posted the picture of....GREAT EH!..only $129.00 plus shipping on this site: http://www.windycityparrot.com/Merchant2/m...roduct_Count=21 That picture you have posted it from another site, but they are the EXACT same, but this one is cheaper off of windycityparrot.com !!! Im going to get this cage for my budgies, and i think this cage can hold approx 6-8 budgies in total which is good! Also, it comes with two big doors AND two breeding doors instead of only one main door....ENJOY! Kirby
February 20, 200619 yr http://www.windycityparrot.com/Merchant2/m...roduct_Count=21 This is the exact one link from Terri's post, I think it is the same cage yes? different colored bars.
February 20, 200619 yr They are all nice. Remember though, on that third cage you said it wasn't as high as the others - the total height includes the stand so I think it actually is the tallest for the birds of them all, with the most space. This is the one I'm saving up for.
February 20, 200619 yr (Laughing out loud)....Rainbow, you definately need that one...for all of your beautiful birdies!!! I think white ie the best option for all birds as you can see them better far away than a darker cage like broze, green, or charcoal... I only have 4 **for now** so this cage is the one im looking at....im surprised they have not e-mailed me back....i e-mailed them on saterday...and its now Monday at 3:40pm.....(Laughing out loud)? http://www.windycityparrot.com/Merchant2/m...roduct_Count=21 Kirby
February 26, 200619 yr Hi Guys! Thanks so much for all the helpful links! I've actually decided to get the HQ 3221 cage from Windy City Parrots. It really is the best price and you just can't beat free shipping! Woohoo! I'm so excited for my little K'ulli. He's gonna love being able to stretch his wings again. The cage he was housed in at the pet shop was nice and large so he and his buddies could actually fly around. And here comes the best part. My parents offered to buy the cage for me as a birthday present. I couldn't be happier as now I'll be able to have more money for outfitting his new home. I'll be ordering it tomorrow.
