Featured Replies

beautiful, I would call them for shipping and handling, I found the number under FAQ's Our Customer Support Line is open 24/7 - 800-631-7387

its a nice cage and big enough but what is the bar spacing? :D

  • Author

The bar spacing is perfect for canaries, finches, conures, lovebirds, cockatiels, and cockatoos!!!.....so no matter what bird i have over the years, they can live in this!!!...i love it!

But i have just went on the site zebra mentioned birdcages4less.com) and they have amazing prices too!!!...PLUS free shipping!!!....so i gotta check out the prices and cages...i want a divider one so i can breed seperately, or house another type of bird like a cockatiel beside my budgies cuz i want a cockatile sooo badly!!!..(Laughing out loud)

thx

Buddy

coolo ya get it its so cool :D

K...have narrowed it down to:

http://birdcages4less.com/Merchant2/mercha...d_Cages/PA5723s

http://birdcages4less.com/Merchant2/mercha...rd_Cages/PA5739

http://www.birdcagemart.com/Flight_and_Avi...ron_Cage_1.html

What does everyone else like best?...what should i go with?...For four present budgies...and more on the way....??? (i like 1st one, but i was going to build my own aviary, it will look like the 3rd one.... but if i baught the 3rd one and just built my own wooden breeding cages then, the birds can fly in big cage, then when i wanna breed them, they can go into home made breeding wooden cages....)...does that make sense..(Laughing out loud)

Buddy

I liked them all but when you are talking about what is best for budgies, long cages where they can fly from perch to perch is best. The first one I feel is the best for them.

ps-smilyl...is that your shetland pony?...i had 4, but donated them to a special needs riding centre (forget name now...oops!) where the kids can love them even more than i did (i sold my precious breeding birds to make enough money to b uy them them when i was 8 cuz they were neglected and needed a good home ASAP, and i raised them to better health....so trust me, i was in love with them)....Now i have 2 swedish warmbloods, Aries and Banner...then my other pets (to many to name)...(Laughing out loud)

Buddy

So you think 3 smaller cages..as to one big one?....

I think it's very nice of you, that you've saved the ponnies (I love horses too :D )

I like all 3 cages, but I think it's much better and cheaper to build a wooden one (you can make it the way you want)!!! I think I would buy a breeding cage and built a big flying cage :)

k guys....thx lovey, i REALLY like that link + prices for such good quality! 4 cages for only $79.99 Aerican! I live in Canada as you know, so i need to find out how much shipping would be to my house..(Laughing out loud). If its under $150.00 for theose cages shipped to my house, im going to get them!!!.....i e-mailed the store (Desmons Pet Depot), on shipping to Canada, so im waiting to get the e-mail back then ill let ya know what the scoop is !!!....im excited as hec!..(Laughing out loud).

My young hen (is like 4months old now) just when into the breeding position to her girlfreind!!!...eraly enough, AND the thing is they are both females! I have 2 males and two females, and i want the one male Kirby (yellow faced blue type I) to breed with my cinnamon skyblue recessive pied this spring! Then my 4 month old hen next year (the 4 month old is a skyblue). My other male is 3 or 4 now, i breed him when i was like 8, but hes not interested in females anymore, only the male Kirby (i have two pairs..(Laughing out loud), of same sexes!!!..hahahahah) So i want mroe cages to divide them up into PROPER pairs, and expect babies! ...(Laughing out loud)...so long story short, i want my gay pairs to turn straight, and breed in this new cages i *might* get if i can get them for under $150 shipped to my house which should be realistic since their only $79.99..(Laughing out loud)...

ps-all this talk of ponies makes me wanna go see my old shetlands or ride my Banner and Aries now!..(Laughing out loud)

thx

Kirby

I just received my cage from birdcagemart.com yesterday. I'm in Nova Scotia. I have the double sized one. They are huge. NOTE - A little challenging to assemble without decent instructions.

Apparently their online shipping calculator doesnt function for international. I was given three payment options and the first was DHL free shipping. But... apparently it was wrong because I got an email saying that shipping should have been about $98. They ended up paying for half. But then I had to pay the courier another $88 for customs, HST, and brokerage when the cage arrived at the house.

But the prices of the cage are so reasonable that I wasn't upset about paying those shipping charges.

I'm so in love with mine and the birds (I have 2) don't know what to do with all of the space. I'll post some pictures in the cages section on the weekend.

the link did not work for me

link's not working Kirby

  • Author

works now...be patient...(Laughing out loud)...Is this deal good for budgies?...and hopefully cockatiels in future? And has anyone baught from here before, that could warn me of unexpected charges...im in Canada...Ontario.

Im officially sad....but happy at the same time!....(Laughing out loud). DesmondPetDepot does NOT ship to Canada...:)....So im not able to got those 4 30x18x18" cages like i planned! So i am now back to the drawing board, and im just going to go with :

http://www.birdcagemart.com/Flight_and_Avi...ron_Cage_1.html

Its American prices, so can anyone please help me out with the exchange rate?....Like i dont even know if i would times that price by 1.15 for taxes here in Canada..or just the American taxes...can sumoen please help me?!?!?!?

I will just buy this cage, which is 31"long, 21"wide, and the overall height is 59" tall...so thats good for budgies(id keep MAX 6-8 in here)...AND!!!!!!......In Guelph, it is EXTREMELY sunny outside today, which is fantastic! And my brids think so too! My male Chico who is a yellow faced opaline recessive pied type II has never been interested in hens! Yet today, he all of a sudden has fallen in love with my white recessive VIOLET pied hen!!!....i just also noticed all her 'blue' markings, are in deed a very rich, nice, bright purple AKA violet colour!!!!!!!!.....So she chases him around the cage, then he runs away. When she flies back to the nest box, he chases her, sings to her, and she digs around in the wood shavings! She jumps out, chases him, then finally stops chasing him...then all of a sudden, SHE RAISED HER TAIL UP FOR LIKE 30 SECONDS!!!!.....he did nto do anything, but im not expecting him to mount her on the 1st day that hes actually showed interst in her! So, whos thinks im going to have babies in spring???...I SURE DOO!!!!....They have been flirting ALL morning from like 8am-now which is 1:38....im getting a headache!...LMAO!

So....sry for the really long post, but im sure you dont really mind mind...tehehehehehe

ps-what colour of babies would they create??? Chicos mom Angel was a skyblue recessive pied, and his dad Buddy was a yellow faced blue type II !!! They were both split to opaline since chico and his siblings were all heavily opalined, and he has every colour imagionable on him except grey! I baught Ariel at a pet store, but she has cinnamon wing colors, and several nice violet markings on her belly, tail, and in between her wings on her back!?!?!??!!?!!?....anyone?

thx

Kirby

well its still VERY big :)
