Featured Replies

-_- Well, a better attempt than my previous one, Comet is a very pretty bird but I cannot find the pics I took of him a few days ago, will try once again............

Let us go visit the enemy budgies cage and then Star can poop into their cage (sitting on eggs, she only goes a couple of times a day).

Okay, I have totally messed up their cage (gross) and it is now back to my own clean cage to sit on my six ADDLED eggs :) .

Comet decides to have a play before he returns to the woman he madly loves and does EVERYTHING for, wouldn't we all love a caring man like this!! When the pair did have babies, he was running around madly taking care of EVERYBODY even though he is 11 years old!!

:P

Oh I can see why Comet loves Star - what a stunner - she looks just like my oldest budgie Scruffy - who happens to fire blanks. Don't you wish you had him? -_-

:P And doesn't Star's cere look ready for breeding, again! (sigh) Will take some good pics of Comet another day, he is really quite stunning in person, can't imagine why he ended up in rescue, great personality, beautiful singer, etc. -_-

Yes. It does. Which narks me, because the female I put in the breeding box is still not in condition. She actually went in the box today, and I got all excited, til I realised she went in there whilst I was changing the paper....

:P And still keep in mind that Star is under the influence of hormone shots, like Daz says, maybe it is the water.............. -_-

:) And the happy pair have finally stopped at 6 eggs so we are off to the vet for another go at Luprin shots next week! All the eggs are addled, Star has been getting added calcium and vitamins and Comet has been attending to her every need. :P

:P Whoops, this should have been posted under "Breeders Chat" topic but I couldn't figure out how to recall a post after it had been sent, sorry all. :)

Please post me some water! My female is STILL not in condition! When the weather cools, she's back to the aviary...

:D I wish water upon you Lin and abstinence for these guys! :P:

Changed to links. Don't get it Daz, I checked all my photos on photobucket by right clicking on the properties and they were well within the LOWER range of 450, what am I doing incorrectly??? Thanks!

:D there so cute!

how is the couple doing, great pics!

I've moved this to Breeder's Chat for you.

As far as the size of your pics, when I click the links the size is 691 x 518. To get the true size of your pictures on photobucket, you have to click on the picture so it brings it up in it's own window, then check the properties. If you just click on the picture while you are on the main page, it will not give you the true size of the picture.

Phoebe, your budgies are beautiful. I can't believe Comet is that old. What a lovely budgie.

:D Thanks Rainbow, will try again! Yes, I have always had doubts about Comet's age as he seems so frisky but his age is the ONLY fact the humane society had on him, nothing else, they didn't even know his gender but I knew right away he was a male. The only clue that he is indeed, this good old age is that his feet seem to be "arthritic" at times. They have stopped laying their eggs at 6 a few days ago and off we go for hormone shots again tomorrow for Star! This time they had better work.
