We have had NEO now for two days. His cage came with a ring swing and two perches. Should we get him another toy? If so what is recommended? And when? Are budgies like kids in that you can swapped their toys around when they get bored of a certain one? thanks :ygbudgie:

You may find your budgie takes to one toy more than any others, make sure you don't take his favourite one away, it will be like a security blanket for him.

They are just like children and can become easily bored with the same toys, have a couple and rotate them every so often to keep him stimulated.

budgies love toys getting some more toys is great make a box f spare toys keeping only 4-5 toys in at a time depends on the size of the cage and change them around every now and again to stop your bird from getting bored!

If NEO gets scared of new things in the cage, then hang them outside to start with, then move them inside once he's use to them.
