This is the first time I have had chicks hatch. My first 'born' is two days old and I have noticed black spots or markings on or in his crop. Is this normal? Should I be worried?

Looks normal to me. The spots are probably bits of seed or other foods.

I have noticed before that you can clearly see seeds in their crops! Mum's doing a fine job

as the others said all looks great :hap: You get some wonderful shots of the little guy.

Looking good here's some pics of my first chicks from 1 day old to 5 weeks old. As you will see in the first picture one of my chicks also has black markings on it's crop.
