Here's a toy me and my friend made today. It was really easy, just drill through some bits of gum tree branches and thread them together with some bits of bark in between each piece. :)

cool, I love the look of them in the shops but theya re normally made of leather and other silly things :D That looks great Bea now how long is it going to last :)

Not long i guess, Razzo was eyeing it off seconds after i put it in. :) But it didn't take long to make so i don't really mind. :D

That toy looks great and if it doesn't last long, you'll know they really loved it :)

that looks great bea! you know i have seen those for sale internationally on the net, but they are expensive.

us poor sods in england dont have gum trees to make things out of :P i want one.

if you can, post a picture of your birds having fun with it :)

I will if it's still there when i go outside. :P I think i'll make some more over the next couple of days, they're really fun to make. :)

Looks great! I've got a similar one that I paid at least $5 for. :P

I liked it, I saw a toy that has a 1/2 a coconut shell on the top and then smaller toys and such hang off with a perch, I bet you could do something similar too :P.

I went out to get playing photos of the budgies and my toy and they've chewed all the bark off. :P Not very interesting looking anymore.

Ah well, at least they enjoyed it. It looks (or looked) great! :)

Great toy! I wish you didn't live halfway 'round the world from me...it'd cost more to ship some of those to me than it would to buy "those expensive ones off the net", LOL.

Can you maybe just send me a gum tree? If I planted one it would solve all those logistical problems... :) and my birds could have fresh euchy leaves too.

wow coool

:) But to send one large enough to get thick branches off would cost a fortune and if you only got a little baby one you'd have to wait YEARS before you could start making toys. :oliveb:
