Hehe...but the aviary budgies have now got lots of toys: rings, ladders, ropes, paper towel rolls, bells, mirror. Today i got them a cool rope/wooden swing, some olympic rings and a new ladder as well as some more cuttlebone and a seed bell. Here's some photos (If they're wet it's because they've just been hosed down).

Hey.. that is an extremely cute photo of pudding! I'm glad the budgies are enjoying their new toys.. well some of them at least.

I just love how dark Spongebobs feet are....so different then Pretty's pink toes. Pudding is so cute cute cute...

Hey, why eat a perfectly good head scratcher? hehe

The toys look good. Give them time, some of them will love the rings and that swing toy! Sometimes it takes weeks before mine play with something new but I leave it around anyway. All it takes is one budgie to start investigating before the others get curious.

I've bought the one with the banana shape on it before...several times before in fact. My birds would splinter the banana shape to shreds and ignore the rest of the toy. Once the banana was gone, they wouldn't have anything more to do with it. I think it was because the shape was easy for them to start on. The other shapes were round and square with rope on the bottom with a bell, and acrylic looking colored 'things' on it (for want of a better term he-he). Does that sound like the same thing you got? Do your's like it?

 

Bea, I love your aviary. Hear it's been hot in Australia lately...is that why you hosed them down?

ummm ya we are slaves i forgot i also got a new rope perch and a calciam toy thing its not a perch its hard to explain

Yep, i hose them off nearly everyday at the moment because it gets really hot in the middle of the day.

Your aviary budgies are lucky to have someone who spoils them like you do! They're all very cute in those photos, especially Pudding
