At what age does the budgie's cere change colour from the baby colour to the adult colur?

they start changing with the first moult, at 3-4 months then it is normal changed at 6 months, some bird can take a bit longer and some shorter. It seems if they are with a group they change faster than when alone

Good question that, only just a short time ago while looking at my babies i was wondering the exact same thing THANKS..

Also, in my experience single budgies take waaaaaaay longer for their cere to change. Blinkie had his baby coloured cere for 5 or 6 months at least i think while his siblings had all changed by about 3 months.

kiwi is aperantly 7weeks and she is already changed her cere but still is small and baby like with lots of really dark bars down her face????
