I just wanted to make this post to let you know that if there is anyone still battling with their budgies to get them to eat veggies there is hope!!

I have had my babies 4 months now and was getting a little frustrated as i could not seem to get them to eat any type of fruit or veggie, i had tried everything. Last night after I had eaten my salad i gave them a piece of lettuce and attached it to the clip that they were eating millet from on top of the cage. Within 30 seconds they were happily nibbling.

So....... i am going straight down to the green grocers today to try some other veggies......it may only be lettuce at the moment, but its a start.

good for you :hap: it's wonderful to see them eat greens for the first time, they nibble at it and stop for a second then it seems the think to themselves 'this is good stuff' and dig in :D

It's the most wonderful feeling in the world when they finally get the hint, isn't it? Congratulations

Congratulations! It's so good to see them enjoying fresh veggies. :hap:

Thats great - try pretending to eat it yourself, that worked a trick with Bluey!

Awesome, Pretty is stubborn too, in fact if I don't offer it everyday there will be days he will turn his nose up to them. Silly Bird!
