Tommy and Beaky together. Poor Beaky is undergoing treatment for his bald patches. I have eliminated feather plucking so the vet has suggested applying anti-mite lotion to his bald patches and I'm waiting to see if that is successful.

Gosh, I thought alcohol was toxic to budgies? Anyway, my Tommy once jumped into a bowl of chocolate trifle! He was perched on the edge of the bowl and for no apparant reason, suddenly jumped into the bowl! Needless to say, I had to give him a bath as he was all chocalatey!

 Reminds me of the time Apple was found Bathing in my Coffee :D he got all sticky and covered in milky froth, but boy was he having a ball.. I was in too much shock to even think about taking photos untill way after i had bathed him.. :D

 Such cute budgies!! I do hope that the plucking one will stop, I have a lovebird that actually mutilates herself and she is now on drugs and a collar which I hope to get off next week. This is really an enigma when there is no obvious reason for them to pluck and they say that the ones best cared for are the most likely to pluck, not the neglected ones, go figure. :D

This is hard to read, but is a common cause of plucking of birds preen gland

 Great. some more wonderful news! Don't think plucking is a major prob in budgies as compared to other parrots. My lovebird did have a continually ingrowing feather and I hope my vet was able to remove the feather follicle so it won't be an irritant anymore. Have had about 8 budgies pass through my life and nobody was a plucker. :D

hahaha shadow likes to join us for breakfast and won day he missed his target and fell into the honey pot!!!!
