So I've had two threads going talking about my new budgie that I am getting, thought I'd just start a new one. I got him yesturday! He is light blue with grey markings on his wings, and a turquiose (no clue how to spell that...)tail. I said I was going to wait a couple days to start taming him...but...I couldn't help it! He ALREADY knows how to step up, and will sit on my finger and stay there forever as long as I don't touch him! I can get him out of his cage no problem, he steps up very good. I took a bunch of pictures, he just sat on my finger the whole time, he's such a good...ermm...boy! (thats what I'll call him for now, (Laughing out loud)) He was sitting on my bed for about an hour while I watched T.V., he's very calm for a budgie, I guess I got lucky! I love him to bits! I'll post some pictures once my dad gets a chance to upload them onto the computer, I also took a bunch of my other budgies and cockatiel.

I need to name him! Any suggestions? I can't think of anything at the moment...something will come to be eventually though. So far I have a Jake, Sunny, Buddy (brother's bird), Storm and Ningo. They are all pretty simple names except for Ningo which stands for "to snow" in latin or some other language (he's white).

Ummm...no thanks, (Laughing out loud). I like the name but it just doesn't suit him. Oh, and here's a picture, just one though, I'll get to the other ones tommorow

Aww, he's adorable. I'm really bad at picking names (takes me ages to name my own pets) but I'm sure you'll think of the perfect name once his personality really starts showing through.

He's adorable... He looks like a "Jellybean" to me.

If he doesnt have a name yet, then for some reason he looks like a cirrus like a cirrus is a type of cloud. I think its because of his light color. but I dont know just a suggestion

Oh god...I feel horrible. My dad was painting part of the house yesturday, and today he painted my door, and I was worried about my budgies, and was going to move them, but my dad said it was non-toxic paint and would be fine, they were all fine when I left for work...but when I came home my new budgie was dead. I can't believe it. My dad feels horrible, I feel horrible, I didn't even end up naming him. Stupid stupid stupid...

I'm really sorry. (((hugs))) Anything that has a strong scent should be kept away from budgies, even if it is non toxic. :bluebudgie:

Thanks everybody for the kind words. My mom offered to buy me another bird, I don't know if I will though, the four are getting along so great now that I wouldn't want to disturb anything. Maybe in the new year.
