November 26, 200519 yr Author They are gorgeous. Is that an albino or a dark eyed clear ( :dbb1: listen to me will you?) Well it's the only one with red eyes. Your call. :ausb:
November 26, 200519 yr Oh isn't that so nice that a forum has resulted in meeting someone and being able to get some gorgeous new birds that you just know will be fine? Lin-stop showing off.
November 26, 200519 yr Author Thanks guys but I take no credit for them. Karen is a great breeder. All her birds are beautiful. I couldn't decide which one so Karen picked them for me. Thanks Karen. Oh isn't that so nice that a forum has resulted in meeting someone and being able to get some gorgeous new birds that you just know will be fine? Well Julie I still haven't met nerwen. Nerwen when are we going to meet? I would love to discuss where I am going wrong on the genetics. :glare: Edited November 26, 200519 yr by daz
November 27, 200519 yr You are very welcome Daz. I picked out the very best of the ones I had for sale. They are absolutely beautiful birds. Remember Daz, I owe you one.
November 27, 200519 yr Author Thanks Karen.. But the truth is you didn't have to look hard all your birds are good... :dbb1:

When I have the room to steal some of your babies :dbb1: They look great Daz and lucky you, I'm an itching to get some more, but i don't have the room....yet. You sure Lisa doesn't have red eyes? or it's just the picture that looks like it.

November 27, 200519 yr Author 'Nerwen' date='Nov 27 2005, 20:51' post='85156' You sure Lisa doesn't have red eyes? or it's just the picture that looks like it. Nerwen she looks to have pink eyes. She also has brown markings on her wings. With out the eyes I was thinking Dilute but fallow now comes to mind???? I'll try to get a better picture of her. Karen have you had any cinnamons or fallows in your flock? http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a26/darrylw/Budgie030.jpg Here you go - Lisa Edited November 28, 200519 yr by daz
November 28, 200519 yr Author i was thinking lacewing. becuase the wing markings are faint. Lacewing ? What would that be in the book Nerwen? Clearwing?
November 28, 200519 yr I'm not up on technical/proper terms for birds but they are what I & my dad have always called Lacewings. I think Lisa is a yellow lacewing.
November 28, 200519 yr okay daz in the book it is still under luntino, and is stated as a name used for when the luntino gene doesn't revmove all the colour from a bird to have pure yellow or pure white.

Thanks Karen and Nerwen. I now have something to go on. Hi Daz It looks like an Albino to me (white this is the blue series of the Inos, Lutino (Yellow) is the green series of the inos) if the bird has brown markings through the wings then it may well be a lacewing (this is because there is cinnamon in the bird, hence the brown markings) hope this helps a little
November 28, 200519 yr Thanks Karen.. But the truth is you didn't have to look hard all your birds are good... You know Daz, funny thing is - I've always thought most of my birds were pretty ordinary. My dad even said compared to what he used to breed I don't have a single decent bird among them!! Just as well, showing birds is way to much trouble for my taste & takes away some of the enjoyment!
