Posted October 25, 200519 yr A friend told me that along time ago a well known bird seed company put up a prize of a lifetime supply of seed for the first person to breed a pink Budgie. Is this true or false and if it is true does the challenge and the prize still stand? Thanks

October 25, 200519 yr I've heard that some people have hybridized Bourkes and budgies to make red birds, but so far, no authentic budgie has had red pigment. Budgies don't have red pigment. But who knows: http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index.php?showtopic=4810 I'm not sure its possible...
