Posted October 15, 200519 yr I bouht cilantro for a recipe. Then i look at it. I Think of the birds. I say why not. So i clipped a big loaf in the budgie cage They've eaten most of it, started nibbling on the chilli pepper and ate most the the lettuce. They're getting really good with they're veggies since i'Ve stopped putting them on the ground. Edited October 15, 200519 yr by Natouk

October 15, 200519 yr I think you'll get the same response as you do with mint, probably a bit too strong for them.

I thought they didn't have the same tastebuds than our - or less, or at the back of the mouth or something? They have good tastebuds for herbs dans seeds and veggies?
October 15, 200519 yr Yes they're different to us with regards to tastebuds, I think it's a combination of smell and taste, there's another thread on here which discusses it well.
