Bird Flu

Featured Replies

Hi I haven't been on for a while. I would like to ask any experts out there what about the bird flu. I have 12 budgies in an outside aviery which is covered and i was wondering if i should leave then out or put them in the inside flight which is smaller.

I feel that they should have fresh air but do not want to put them at risk of the bird flu.

Any advice would be welcomed.

Chances of bird flu comming over here is very slim.

We are preparing for it here in Australia. But I hope it doesn't come here.

I'd say it's a question of time before it gets here, once it arrives if I had birds outside I'd bring them in in case the government orders the destruction of animals like they did during the foot n mouth fiasco.
