Posted September 12, 200519 yr When Merly went to the vet in April she tested positive. Second time they didn't test her as they figured it was the same thing. Third time round it didn't show up... This time they didn't even think she was sick, so drew looots of blood and its come back a faint positive. A lot of birds show as being a faint positive, so it's not necessarily a concern but due to the fact she's been sick it has to be. They haven't found anything else, so its the only possibility for her. So baytrill and water doxy for a fortnight and then back to the vets. I'll have her with me on holiday so i will be able to watch her closely. Poor little darling is destined to stay by herself it seems.. At least we know for sure now and don't have to stress. She doesn't even fuss at the vets any more it's quite funny how she sits in the weigher and chirps and plays.
September 12, 200519 yr Oh bless her! She thinks she's a person going visiting friends for a playdate! I hope all goes well for her, at least it's not a new problem. Good luck
September 12, 200519 yr Thank goodness you have a diagnosis. Now she can concentrate on getting better, she like I said before is one tough cookie. You see Tegz she wants you all to herself!! Get better soon Merly Girly!
September 12, 200519 yr I guess she does Boomberry She was such a lovely girl tonight running around on the floor chasing her ball. Her balance is still off, I presume thats probably from the needle though. Already the Baytrill has improved her out of sight. Complicated little soul Edited September 12, 200519 yr by TeGz
