This weekend we are going out to this big pet supply warehouse that has tons of supplies way cheaper than all the other pet shops around here. Ofcourse this idea is super exciting to me and i just thought i'd ask you guys what you think i need while i'm out there. So far i plan to get a calcium perch, some pellets, some toys (of course!) and some mineral bells. Anything else i should add to my shopping list?

get stuff to makte toys... i've always wanted to buy all the stuff and make my own cool toys... but lack of equipement and lack of creativity has held me back....

stock up on millet... always cheap at pet supply warehouses.

Budgie toy making kits Bea Ive just ordered one which is shown in another topic. It looks really good and makes up to 4 different toys that you can design yourself. Maybe the store will have some?

Definitly a swing! My budgies adore swings, so whenever I get one, I have to get an identical one for the other so they won't be jealous!

I bought a play gym, a little seed cup for treats and a new rope perch!

Hehehe... it was a sales tax holiday yesterday, so I had a shopping spree too. I think I've got enought toys to last at least 6 months.

Oh yeah I saw the gym its great - didn't you get your calcium perches?

Well as the gym took up most of my money....

Oh well at least they are making good use of it!

Sure are! Blinkie is preening himself and squawking his brains out while sitting on it as i type!

Have you decided whether he will be staying indoors yet?

I don't think he will stay inside all the time. I can't have them out at the same time unless i feel like poking them everytime they fight...which i currently don't feel like doing.

They might get used to each other - when Blinkie realises that Pickle will do as he is told

Yeah I think they will calm down but then again Max and Bobby fight all the time and Im constantly keeping an eye on them - I sometimes darent leave the room incase the hurt each other - the things that gets me is they are fighting over my little snotty madam Tobi hehe!

I'm just wondering if it's in Pickle's best interest to keep torturing him with Blinkie...he shouldn't have to put up with that because the reason he's inside is to become happier away from bullies.

Yeah thats true its a problem isnt it, he gets bullied outside and now inside I wonder what the best thing to do.

how much did your playgym cost you... i have NEVER actually seen one at a pet shop or ware house... had to buy mine online...

None of my budgies are going anywhere!!!

 

The playgym was $20 from Petbarn. The same style is around $30 anywhere else.

yeah definatly worth the money... looks awsome... my boring one was $30 and another $12 for delivery !! got yourself a bargain !!!
