I have just won a pet cage for travel on ebay. Is this the pet cage suitable for budgies?

Probably fine, as long as they can't stick their silly little heads through the spaces.

Oh I have never thought of that. The gap looks a bit big now that you mentioned it. I will have to wait for it to arrive before I can really know whether a budgie could stick its head out of the gaps.

You might get away with it. If they are less than 3/4 of an inch you'll be okay, I think.

since it is only 8 inches high, I'm guessing the gaps are not too big. But you should measure them just to be sure.

Maybe it's just me... but I would try my budgies out in the cage in a safe room first ... that would prove to me whether they could get out...

Thanks for the suggestion Allycat. Brilliant idea. Don't want them to squeeze out of the cage and start flying around in the car!

My travel cage is still not here yet The person said she posted to the wrong address (Yeah right) and that she will send it next week.

Yes, I was quite mad too :wine I think she didn't want to send it cause the bidding price was only a dollar but the shipping that she charge is high :closedeyes:

My travel cage is finally here after complaining to the seller a couple of days ago! Yay! Measured the gaps. They are half of an inch wide. A budgie won't get their head stuck in that gap I hope.
