Posted August 8, 200520 yr I have just won a pet cage for travel on ebay. Is this the pet cage suitable for budgies?
August 8, 200520 yr Oops! Silly me Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5604173252 Here is the picture:
August 8, 200520 yr Probably fine, as long as they can't stick their silly little heads through the spaces.
August 8, 200520 yr Oh I have never thought of that. The gap looks a bit big now that you mentioned it. I will have to wait for it to arrive before I can really know whether a budgie could stick its head out of the gaps.
August 8, 200520 yr You might get away with it. If they are less than 3/4 of an inch you'll be okay, I think.
August 8, 200520 yr since it is only 8 inches high, I'm guessing the gaps are not too big. But you should measure them just to be sure. Risha
August 18, 200520 yr Maybe it's just me... but I would try my budgies out in the cage in a safe room first ... that would prove to me whether they could get out...

Brilliant idea. Don't want them to squeeze out of the cage and start flying around in the car!
August 21, 200520 yr My travel cage is still not here yet The person said she posted to the wrong address (Yeah right) and that she will send it next week.
August 21, 200520 yr Yes, I was quite mad too :wine I think she didn't want to send it cause the bidding price was only a dollar but the shipping that she charge is high
August 23, 200519 yr My travel cage is finally here after complaining to the seller a couple of days ago! Yay! Measured the gaps. They are half of an inch wide. A budgie won't get their head stuck in that gap I hope.
