hi all back again after all this time. i have finally given in and decided to get another joey. we got him yesterday and all he has done is sit on his food perch all day do you think he's alright?

Will post some pics soon (if he ever gets away from his food bowl (Laughing out loud))

What does that mmean?

Just a bit scared, and seeing if this giant is okay to be around! Don't forget everything is new - sights, sounds, smells. It might take him a couple of days to settle, and to feel a bit more confident.

hello just thought i would let you know that joey is still at his food bowl (has moved a couple of times) but that seems to be his favourite place

All budgies have a favourite sitting place all mine do, he is just settling in you wont be able to keep him still in a day or so enjoy the peace I'd say.

He looks like he's in sort of a curious/alert posture. ?? Give him a few days & he'll calm down. We got Peep a week ago Friday and the first 3-4 days my daughter kept asking when the bird was actually going to do something. But, within 4-5 days he was hopping around chirping. Just let him have his adjustment period.

Also, he's very pretty! I love blue birds.

Aw he is adorable - has he actually eaten anything from the food bowl, none of mine use those type of bowls - oh except Tobi she likes to sit inside it she is tiny enough to fit!

hi Yea he has eaten infact thats all he's done since he got here on friday. i was thinking about it and every time i go near the cage he has a bit more food, so do you think he might be comfort eating????

oh he looks very sweet! You could be right about eating for reassurance but I don't think it will be anything to worry about.
