just wondering is it better to have the flight cage indoors or out doors?

 

I use the flight cage to get them into breeding conditions..

 

I currently have it indoor in my garage. With excessive lights and a heater to keep the temperature warm.

 

But my question is.. Would it make a difference if its out door or indoor?

 

Would they get in condition faster if flight cage was outside?

Hi, personally I think if you are breeding pet types, outside is more natural. It would allow the hours of daylight weather etc to help them into breeding condition. Plus if you have a flight where they can get access to natural sunlight that's a good thing, as long as they have a section of roofed area for protection. As your in Melb. winter temps may be a bit cold but they would have the same conditions in the wild.

I agree with Robyn, although being from the U.S., I really couldn't advise about breeding conditions in Melbourne. I do know that putting them outside during the winter won't bring them into condition faster, you would need spring to come for that. It sounds like where you have them, with artificial light and heat would work better for winter breeding than outdoors would. But like Robyn said, having them in an outdoor flgiht would allow them to go into condition naturally when the seasons are right.
