Hi, I picked up this pair from a sale today, and the guy said they were both spangles. But they look so different? How come?

I think the hen is also opaline, but not sure. The male looks like no spangle I've ever had - is he DF?

Photos are dodgy, didn't want to disturb them, as they're still settling in. Any ideas appreciated
